Caz, here you go, it's a Nigella one
Butter Cut Out Biscuits.
175g unsalted butter soft
200g caster sugar
1tsp vanilla extract
400g plain flour
1tsp baking powder
1tsp salt
300g icing sugar sieved + food colouring (more icing may be required if doing lots of colours)
Oven 180C/Gas 4
Cream butter and sugar until pale and almost moussey. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
Seperate bowl sift together, flour, baking powder and salt. Add flour to butter mix gently but surely. Add a little bit more flour if a still a bit sticky - I gave up on the spoon towards the end used my hands, messy but much quicker.
Cut in half shape into discs wrap in cling film and chill for an hour minimum.
Roll out on a floured surface (1 half at a time, other half remains in the fridge.) to about 5mm thick. Cutter of choice cut out biscuits place on greased and lined baking trays. Bake between 8-12 minutes (I found that the longer the oven was on the shorter the cooking time was) Edges should be light gold. Cool on a rack.
Mix up icing, colour at will - needs to be thick but spreadable.
Or
Leave icing white and let the children decorate at will.

Some of my worst childhood memories are standing in a smelly charity shop getting winter coats and other clothes.
I think there is a difference between getting second hand because you realise its more :money: and getting charity stuff because you can't afford anything else. I was very aware as a child that we couldn't afford anything else and I personally hated that.
I don't get second hand stuff but I also don't sneer at people who do! Splashing that over your friends (as in EA) FB status was so rude (of the friend) but she got told LOL Don't mess with the MSE lot ROFL!!
I'll keep K's stuff for #3 and that'll be the first hand me downs in this family, but as Sami says I can afford it and don't live with my 'rents!money_maker wrote: »I have to collect Dylans pixi photos in 15minutes and Chris isnt back yet with the car !!!!!!!
Bet you never thought you'd be writing that not too long ago!!0 -

Poor lil girl she looked so sad, hope she hadn't been there long! She normally sleeps on a sleep curve mattress so this can't happen but she sicked up milk on it and so intook it out.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

No home and bargains here Caz
No wilko or anything either. You'd think Aberdeen being a huge city and all would have that but nooooooooooo.
Went briefly by the park but feral girl was there with her feral friends, Keira ran over to go on the jeep and she went running over swearing at her as it was 'hers' apparently. Oh really? I thought it was council property like!
I told her it wasn't very nice to be greedy and no it wasn't hers, and I get a mouthful of abuse, so I told her she was ugly and she smelled and she threatened me with her mum again :rotfl: I told her mum is ugly and fat and smells too :rotfl: I best not leave the house again hahahahahaha....0 -

I'm liking that people are talking out my home countyMy family are all in Cockermouth so North west lakes. My MIL has a cottage she rents out but it's Eden valley rather than in the lakes but a bit cheaper and only a short drive to the north east lakes (+eden valley itself is nice) if anyone is interested.
Erin slept 12:30 - 7:30 last nightbut it's probably just because she is getting over her excess pooing but it was a nice break.

All the daffodils are growing round here, the way to the garage you can walk through the middle of the daffys, and im pretty sure the pattern they have been set out in is the shape of the UK cause it looks like that, its pretty big anyways, I was tempted to nick some btu remembered last time I picked a daffy , I had people blaring their car horns at me, TSK, like their car fumes aint killing them anyways! Im not buying a daffy!0 -

I can beat that...I have a dress in my wardrobe that I kept and brought over here...I wore when I was 5 or so and love it so much I want my little girl to wear it. Now it's going to have to wait even longer!! (my mom made it for me, so it's even more sentimental)
I have a dress in Lilys wardrobe that was mine too! I had it for my professional pics when i was a small baby, and then most of the other girls in my family wore it. And now i have it for Lily to wear one day
Have to get the sleeves fixed though, the elastic has gone in them and i dont want to ruin the dress by doing it myself.Buttonmoons wrote: »so I told her she was ugly and she smelled and she threatened me with her mum again :rotfl: I told her mum is ugly and fat and smells too :rotfl: I best not leave the house again hahahahahaha....
