My favourite was EA's own - aren't you in so much debt you have to live with your parents?

I liked that too. She was funny making out like she'd been damaged by wearing 2nd hand clothes as a child though!

Well I have been to the loo and feel much better now. DH has gone to get me food and I'm currently feeding A

Talking of hand me downs, I had a little red metal trike when I was 3. It went to my aunty to be use by four cousins, then back to Mum after 16 years for my little sister. Since then it's been used by my big two, and is in Mums shed ready for V, 35ish years later. :D We're not snobs! :rotfl:

And A has lots of lovely 2nd hand clothes, some from ebay and some from a friend. I will be keeping some for the next one and ebaying some too.

personally the only new baby clothes that Finn has worn are either gifts or the £2 pack of vests we bought in Primani the other week :p. That reminds me, today's mission is to find & win a big bundle of 3-6 clothes and some medium-sized nappy wraps. He's getting so big! *sniff*

Consequently, am happy to re-fairy most of the lurvely 0-3 boys clothes that hammyhunter graciously fairy-ed me. I'll pop an ad up shortly...(I need to scold the fairies as they've neglected to send out smartie's vouchers, oops :o)
top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

would like to win a holiday, please!!
    :xmassmile Mummy to Finn - 12/09; Micah - 08/12! :j

I think I was more damaged being forced to wear my mother's taste in clothes as a child - I've no idea if my baby things were new or not. I'd imagine they were mostly home made, my grandmother was an epic knitter. As I got bigger, she sewed most of my dresses - I was definitely scarred when she entered one of them in a Look What I Made contest and insisted I model it on the stage, then turned me round and lifted my skirt to show my matching lacy knickers
Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
    Three gifts left to buy

    :rotfl::rotfl:That's abuse that is! :rotfl::rotfl:

I never had hand me downs, as I was the first baby in Mums family/circle of friends. :D But my slightly younger girl cousins reckon they're affected having to have worn all my old stuff for years.

My Nan was an epic knitter. I remember the horrendous things she used to make for my little sister. Knitted kilts in random left over coloured wool which she'd sew to a vest, and all in one's in the same left over scraps of wool coloured stripes.

The lady we had was really nice. On the first appointment, I went on my own and explained all what was going on with James. He came with me on the rest of the appointments and we just worked through all the things that were causing problems and worked out ways of dealing with them.

We had appointments after school, so she usually gave me a quick call mid afternoon on the day of the appointment just to see how things were going and if there was anything I wanted to tell her without James hearing.

We've been discharged now, but she left me her direct telephone number so if I ever need her again, I can just ring direct and arrange an appointment rather than going through a GP referral as that takes ages.

We don't have meat on Good Friday as the boys go to Catholic schools, so although we are not Catholic, we still observe all the traditions they learn at school.
Thanks for that, it's SS who are pushing for all this stuff to be done, I hope it dosn't take too long, as I dont know when I'm moving on.
I fel like such a failiure that they have to be called in but I don't know what else to do.
He's such an angry little boy, he headbutted me in the dcotors the other day and shouted at me so bad that I just sat there and (tried to) descreetly cried. :o

Someone in that position really shouldn't be turning her nose up at cheap clothes, especially when the stuff available is so often of better quality than the cheapy new stuff. I know longevity in clothing really isn't that important when you're talking about baby clothes because they grow right through them, but you can always resell/pass on good secondhand stuff. A friend of mine has just passed stuff I gave her on to another friend, whose baby is the fifth one to wear the clothes and they still look almost new.
    I agree!
the super market stuff I got for Chris has holes in them after Ed wearing

That's cool, I bet it's retro funky too!

As a 2nd Child pretty much everything I had was a hand me down I was usually the 3rd or 4th wearer and passed on to a few others too.
I buy most of Chris's stuff new mostly because I'm a total shopaholic and I don't get the thrill from ebaying :o but I most definitely wouldn't be doing that if I was in debt or still living with my 'rents!!

:rotfl::rotfl: Hubby has a bee in his bonnet about people saying "8am in the morning" and just told me it's AM - at the morning PM past morning :rotfl:
