Auch well, you know what suits you! Just a bit too brown for me and I wear/suit brown. :o

Theres no avoiding it Tara: You'll need to go and try things on in a shop    Then come home and find it cheaper online :rotfl:

I agree- you need to go to a shop to see what you like.

Isn't there a thread on the weddings board about the ebay bridal shop that makes copies of expensive dresses for a fraction of the cost ;)

Speaking of dogs, I have an awkward situation. I'm very uncomfortable with someone I know who has a lovely dog, it hasn't been out properly for months. They are too busy to walk it. I've said I think they should re-home it but nothing has changed. The dog just gets let out on a small decked area to go toilet then back in again. How do I just ignore something that's wrong but not poke my nose in. They're good friends btw.

That's why we rehomed Odie. The situation wasn't going to change for about a year, and it just wasn't fair. All you can do really is suggest a dog walking service unless you want to go down the RSPCA reporting route. Some dogs are ok living like this, most aren't.

    Afternoon all..

Rhys slept through last night so no mysteriously appearing in our bed in the middle of the night :o I actually woke up expecting him to be there next to me when I opened my eyes..

Physio was her usual cheerful self - not! She managed a vague smile and "that's an improvement on his sitting" while he sat there for a few minutes (all she'll let him do before she pulls him into a different position) *sigh* Next thing is to get him kneeling so he crawls. I did ask why they couldn't just leave him be and see if he's one of those babies who just doesn't crawl, but she said she "would prefer him to crawl" so wants him "trained" to crawl even if that wasn't the direction he was going to go in naturally  Got another appointment with her in two weeks but I'll see how he's getting on by the day before then phone to "rearrange" it if I don't fancy seeing her :p I mentioned going back to work and she frowned - errr, she works, doesn't she?! She asked who was looking after Rhys (resisted the urge to tell her I was leaving him in a cupboard ;)) and when I said Mum she suggested Mum was here next time so she could show his "main carer" what to do..... MAIN CARER, !!!!!!?! Since when did 25hrs out of the 168hrs in a week qualify as his "main carer"?!

Anyway, onwards and upwards.. I'll help him but I'm not going to force or "train" him into doing anything he doesn't like :p Will see how he gets on then cancel it the day before if I want to.

We have Rhys' room buddy coming over later (who is older, does less than Rhys but lives in the wrong area to be covered by these physios so doesn't get all this nonsense!) so I have to make lunch for me and his mum soon before Rhys wakes up :D

Can I slap your physio? The way it was explained to me was that the co-ordination and muscle development that they learn through crawling is pretty unique and valuable later on. So while a lot of children skip crawling, those with specific mobility needs are encouraged to crawl just to get the benefits from crawling. Pity you don't have stairs, getting them to crawl up stairs is the best way to teach them to crawl. Does your parents house have stairs? A few visits a week will make a difference.

    Hi everyone

Tara - I'm glad to hear Poppie is better.

Elasti - I hope your baby is much better soon.

Searchingme - well done on the 3 point turn! I'm a newish driver. Sat my test when I was 34 weeks pregnant. I'm not that great at it!

Sami - my baby struggles to poo sometimes. Lying him on his back and doing a cycling motion with his legs seems to help.

Depends how 'portable' you need to be? Is it for your parents house? (then 2) or for actual out and about in the changing bag storable (then 1)

Is there another reason for not walking the dog? Mine didn't get walked much when I had SPD as I struggled walking full stop and just couldn't manage taking them out :o

Maybe you could politely mention a new dog walking service you noticed and thought they might be interested :A

Our poor dogs only gets half the walks he used too. He pulls so much, I couldn't do it when pregnant, and its a nightmare with the pram. So he only gets one walk a day now when OH gets home from work, one of us will take him around the block.

I'm torn between finding him a new home or keeping him.
I only want him to go to a home where they'll love him as much as we do, but I want to keep him because he's J's best friend.
I hate hoovering the ton of white dog hair every day, but I like that he clears up under the highchair to save me hoovering. :rotfl:

I like that one Tara. With gold/caramel bridesmaids?

Elle You should train Rhys, when he's ready, to run into the physio appointment and slap the physio about the head. :rotfl::mad:

I've got J's DLA form here to do. Does anyone want to come and do it for me? I've filled in his name and address on all three booklets and really cba doing the rest. :o

Tia If you don't mind me asking, how did you find a new home for your doggy?
