    Marriage, hmmm...

Now I could be contraversial, here goes. After a few relationships I find myself feeling that there is more to it than just loving someone. First you fancy them, so attraction, then you fall in love with them and they should become a friend. But that is not enough for me (*ducks*). I want a man that can support his family, and I don't mean a big wage but someone who goes to work each day and does his best. Someone my children can look up to and say 'when I grow up I want to be like Daddy'. I want someone that when I have a problem, ie DD in labour, he can step in and take over and is not adverse to taking on anything in the house. I want someone who can sort a problem, leaky roof (or gets a man who can) sort the bills as well as me so that I'm not the only one with house responsibilties. So now I've typed that I suppose it's someone who shares the load. A man I am comfortable with and is making sure that as we get older together that out future is safe.

    You want a man's man :)

My DP is getting like that, he is an IT Technician (not totally manly I know lol) but he is getting great at being a man's man doing jobs around the hose, his dad is great at showing him all that.

And on the extra plus side he also cooks and hoovers and does chores as well as me lol

Well I am back from the shops, why do people stare at your bump like you are a freak :(

Now I feel the need to nap now lol

Glam - not sure if I am reading your post right. Do you sterlise 8 bottles and use 4 one night and 4 the next? If so, you do know that the second lot of 4 won't be classed as sterile as the unit has been opened don't you? Not saying it matters or there is anything wrong with it, just checking that you know, if that is what you are doing.
Yay for Jack jumping on the Jumperoo!

yes thats what I do and yes I know they won't be super sterile.
I figure that they have been washed in hot soapy water then sterilised so any nasties have gone. They are only exposed to the air for a couple of minutes, the kitchen is clean, my hands are clean so I don't think there is too much risk of them getting exposed to too much.

I know what you are saying though. :)

Yes the jumping made a change, he normally just bounces gently but we had some proper jumps today!

I did this years ago, but he said I made him feel like he wasn't a man, like he wasn't needed. At that point I realised he wasn't and he went! :rotfl:
:o Sorry, that made me giggle remembering a funny situation! Anyhow, I need OH to be a good role model, to me it's important, but you shouldn't feel you have to explain as we all have different lives. :) I have lived in some bad areas  and it seemed to me that those kids who grew up in homes were they weren't in the 'get up and go to work each day' mode the kids ended up the same. That's the bit I was desperate to get away from. As it is both my DD's have always worked! :D

dont get me wrong philip wants to work ... but its something ive always believe (esp after my mother) you should never relie on the money or the man .. to me (and this is just to me) you should always plan for the worse as you never know and i know my household could carry on if he left .. not to say i wouldnt cry my eyes out but never in front of the kids .. i think you should want the man to be there not need as you're saying you're a person til you're a couple .. does tht make any sense or am i jibbering ...

id also like to add alot of the way i think is the way i was brought up both parents worked (although still claiming benefits but dont getme started) but life was still messed up and she constantly relied on my step fathers money as she blow her and the benefit money on the slots .. so i make damn sure i relie on no one but myself .. philip knows all this (honestly we talk about everything) and he agrees x
