Ewwww! I saw but couldn't hear with L yapping down my ear, as she does.
Did they say if the other brides in the programme went to the naked wedding, erm, naked?
Suppose it saves the stress of finding the right outfit.

That'll sort that problem then. ;)

Hope the weather warms up for you then. But if its cold, at least you'll have somewhere handy to keep the rings. :rotfl:

I have several children by different fathers, I grew up on housing estates. I am not underclass but have encountered many 'higher classed' people in my life who I wouldn't spit on if on fire as their attitude stinks. I have never wallowed in self pity about any of the terrible things in my life and am an amazing Mummy. I would also never expect anyone to 'keep' me as if needed I would get of my own fat backside and work!!!

As you are a SAHM yourself, I am sure you can recognise the benefits of being so. I know if OH and I split up, he'd continue to 'keep' me until LO was of school age, and I could work without it having a negative affect on him. I think that is different than getting the state to 'keep' me - I don't agree with benefits for single parents, when the absent parent doesn't pay maintaince.

Oh i was sure you'd referred to yourself as middle class. I was almost right.

Can I be counted as lower-middle class by relation? OH might count as it, he is a well paid, highly educated professional, and we live quite a middle class life, but I don't think I count as middle-class.

Are you fully BF? how often does she feed (how much if/when formula/EBM)
is she less than 3 weeks (she is isn't she?)
    is she very sleepy?
    I wouldn't worry personally unless she's lethargic

EDIT sorry for useless advice, thought it was relevant. Hope you fnd answers fishcake.

    Good questions.

    Fishcake:
    Does she have a dummy?
Do you feed bottles of expressed milk at all?
How many wet and dirty nappies does she produce?
    Do you co-sleep?
    Babywear?
    Have you tried breast compression?

Some tips on increasing weight gain here:

Personally, if she is happy, alert and hydrated, I wouldn't worry about 'slow' weight gain. It can be hard not to worry though.

  • She takes about 2oz then has a poop then takes another 1oz. Shes on FF.
Feeds every 3-4 hours normally the longer and shes 10 days today. She does have about 2-3 lots of being awake normally about 20 minutes.
    .
    Think thats everything lol.

  • No dummys.
Several wets and 2-3 poops a day, lovely mustardy ones.
We don't co-sleep (assuming this meens in bed together?)

Feely - single parents still get benefits even if the absent parent does pay maintenance as the maintenance is disregarded in the assessment.

I don't think being a single parent is excuse enough to not work (that's why i worked from DS being 4 months old until i was made redundant last year), but i don't understand the above. It's not the PWC's fault if the NRP doesn't pay maintenance?

But my working since DS was 4m
until LO was of school age, and I could work without it having a negative affect on him.

obviously had a negative affect so i can't win really can i?
