Under class? Is that an actual phrase?

I must be "under class" since i'm not working at the moment!! I'm such a waste of space, that i'm not even in a 'class'!!!

Depends what it was that you said. Try me? :D

Under class covers those on benefits, single parents, dole scum, chavs, common people in housing estates, work-shy, lazy smokers who drink lots, give thief kids coke/juice in bottles, dummies, several kids by several fathers. That sort of thing. They are the undeserving poor.

  • Are you still BFing in the day, EA? How's the sleeping going?

I think we generally make fun of anyone on here, don't we?!

I thought you were being serious for a second there. I'll ignore that then seeing as you were so clearly joking.

Also, i come under most of those categories. What is it that makes you better than me then? Because you have a man earning enough to let you sit at home looking down on us "undeserving poor"

We do, I was just making an observation. I find double standards very strange, but seem to encounter them a lot of the time.

I was just giving examples of the stereotypical behaviour of the underclass. It is generally the attitude that determines if someone is 'undeserving' or not. Plenty of single, non working people aren't in the underclass. Many are though.

Did I say I was better than you? Yes I have a man who supports me, a man who'd support me financially if we weren't together.

You're implying that you're "upper" and i'm "under" so yeah - i'd say you did.

I don't think I count as upper class - I'm not educated enough, I'm not a professional. I think I'd be classed as working class.

What about those who are going to be relying on benefits whilst they go to college and then uni to make a better life for themselves? (ie: me?)
