Weezl, I also wanted to say that you shouldn't refer to your previous attempts at getting milk as 'fruitless'. While it might not have been the outcome you hoped for, it did have a very important positive - you tried your hardest, which is very important. Had you not tried, you might have felt guilt. As it stands, you did try and should not feel bad for it. It wasn't fruitless at all - it proved your dedication as a mother, and from what I've read, it was something very important for you to try to do. Please don't sell yourself short and call it fruitless. Hope you understand what I'm saying.

I've not been following that well lately, did you say you tried the Jam Jar method of expressing? I can't remember if it is a breast tissue or nipple thing, or both? Did you try feeding with no contact at all? Sometimes a lack of inteferring can be best - I found at first I could only feed led down. I'd lie baby down and lie next to him, allowing him to latch on. Very minimal contact - no directing nipple, cupping breast or anything.

Ooh, I lived with my ex 6 years... Bought a house and everything... But I knew we'd never get married... He definitely wasn't my soul mate...

    He was a knob lol...

My Aunt and Uncle were together 20 years when they got married... She jokes it was because she wanted to make completely sure...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

MFD Your post appeared as I was typing my mammoth one.

I'm worried now, OH & I have just passed the 6 year mark. :o

And yes, they are all snooty! I keep asking OH when during his training, he goes for the operation to remove his personality. :rotfl:

Difference with you 3 is that it is not lack of wanting to commit that has got you past 6 years, you are engaged and are planning to marry. I think it is more the people who, for whatever reason, have 1 who wants to marry and 1 who doesn't that have problems.
I also think that people sometimes mistakenly believe that getting married will make a relationship that is lacking something better - it won't!!
TBH, if my ex had asked me to marry him then I would have married him, but I now know that there would still have been something missing and it would have caught up with us eventually.

My relationship with hubby couldn't be more different - and I asked him to marry me :D

I am working from home today (because we are running off to my mums as soon as DSS finishes school) and I can't get into the work system remotely, what a shame :rotfl::rotfl:

Edit - I should add that my brother and my lovely SIL (who isn't) have been together for nearly 11 years and are still completely in love and would love to get married, both of them. They say they can't afford the wedding they want so they have never got around to it?
I think they are mad, my wedding was (mostly) cheap as chips, but horses for courses!

  • No such luck on the nap :( Try again later - she will need to sleep eventually. Will wait till she is properly tired and put her down awake, rather than letting her fall asleep on me, that was just asking for trouble. Put her down and she woke up gave me a big cheeky grin and started to play peepo with her blanket :).

She has a new grin, and it is brilliant. Will have to get the camera out in a mo, and see if I can capture it .

We were together 8 years before getting married, but we were engaged after abou 18 months. We were living at my parents and I had just stared uni, so we didn't want to think about weddings until after we had moved out. Just the way it had to be.
