Tell him I'm offering tea, coffee, sandwiches, cake and the use of a toilet with a broken seat, and his driving it's only really 5mins anyway... Pubs in Auchinleck are dodgy. Auchinleck is dodgy, the girls swing their knickers round the necks and eat chips'n'cheese. How do you know when a lassie from Auchinleck has had an orgasm? She drops her chips'n'cheese!

Better go tidy up before dinner time and time to go back out. Michael wants to use the laptop.

But to the employer (aka the decision maker), an employee having a child is not "very good grounds for having [a change of hours request] granted". Yes, having a child gives an employee the right to request change but not for having that request granted

I think you're misunderstanding me. I wasn't saying that having a child gives her very good grounds for having in granted but being offered a 30 hour contract previously, knowing that others in the same job role have had the same request granted, and not being replaced while on mat leave do definitely give her very good grounds for having it granted, IMO.

CSH - you're company sounds like mine - how jealous am I of anyone with enhanced mat leave lol.

Awww, you left on your own again! Maybe you can find something else to buy;):p

tbh I am ok(ish) I am knackered running around after 3 kids and with appts etc all the time lately...but the worst thing is that weezl has passed on her pregnancy insomnia to me and around 3/4am EVERY morning I wake up and can't get back to sleep, so I am shattered all day! I also seem to be up for jiggy far more than usual but dh obviously finds me disgusting and barely wants to come near me, he just spends all his time on his PC locked away in the bedroom:( Sorry starting to get a bit ranty there:o All sorts of other problems too, space/finances etc......

Mel, on space issues, have you seen there's a thread about how to fit a fourth baby into the house/routine etc etc? Jo_R is the OP, some might remember her from the preg thread, her LO is just over a year old I think :)

lol he only went today, so far I'm ok  I'm used to him going away for 'just' one week so it'll be no different really. He's back friday morning which is nice coz he'll have a lil nap and then we can go do family outing-ness while everywhere is quiet :D

Glam/Fritha anyone local, have you been to that playcentre next to LA bowl (is that still there??) its called something to do with monkeys

  • Afternoon all. Our trip to the shops ended up being a long day - ended up going to playgroup for about 3 hours, as Izzy was having so much fun! Have managed to get her to eat food I made off her own plate, which is quite an achievement too :)

I really need to have a major spring clean (or at least tidy up enough to hoover), but I'm nackered, so tempted to just do the bare minimum, get everything I need ready for tomorrow, get Izzy to bed, then eat my tea and go to bed myself.

Oh, speaking of hoovers - I got a bargain dyson last weekend - £95 for a display model DC22. It didn't have any attachments, so we've had to buy the head thing separately off the website(I want to get a duster one too, but will look out on ebay I think), but it has still meant we have got the whole thing for £130 when the rrp is (I think) over £300 :). Got quidco on the accesories too! Now I just need the head bit to turn up so I can actually use the bl00dy thing!
