all credit to you CSH :)

I'm surprised it warrants a debrief since we are both absolutely fine, but a wimpy part of me is glad because there were a couple of times where I felt abandoned and it'll be really cool to hear from her why that happened so I can understand how it was for all good reasons IYSWIM?

That would be good to go over it, and great that it'll be soon rather than lots of little niggles forming in your mind to create Big Worries.

There is not a poster on this thread who wouldn't have room for a PM from you if you needed to chat about it.

I'm so sorry you felt abandoned, especially when you were frightened and in pain, Weezl. And with the fear you must have felt for Kester too, and your bleeding and thinking of Fergie and your DH, I'm not surprised it was a scary experience for you. I hope the debrief does you a lot of good, lovely girl, and you can see how the scary bits fit into the big picture.

I'm glad you're both doing well.

Susan - not sure, really. I actually had sworn all through my undergrad that you couldn't pay me enough money to do postgrad but then as I was in the 2nd half of my 3rd year I realised that I wasn't finished yet...had been doing a massive Holocaust-related project and it clicked that it was something I very passionate about (learning about it, that is) so I looked and found one of the few Holocaust Studies courses in Britain (since I knew I wanted to come back here to study) that was from a history viewpoint rather than a Jewish Studies one (I think there were only 3 in the country anyways).

I guess the shorter answer was because I find it all really, really interesting but can't really explain why (as most people think it's a rather odd topic to study).

And yes it is a 100% useless degree that put me $18,500 in debt but I don't regret it :o:o

eta: nothing that others haven't said other than hugs for you, weezl. Glad to hear everything's okay now and I think talking about it with the MW will definitely help you form a clear picture in your mind so you can come to terms with whatever problems there were more easily. Glad you, Kester, Fergie & DH are all okay and sound happy :)

Shameless repost just for another look

Weezl, Kester is fabulous. I'm sorry his arrival wasn't straightforward for you, but the little lad is just divine and I am so glad you are both safe, happy and well.
