Where does the time go?
  • I am seriously hoping I have one when i get home :p. Because Alex is now being sick ALL of the time, infant gaviscon seems to be now failing miserably after working so well. Have one soggy, wet baby all of the time and keep running out of bibs even thought the washing machine is on every night. Anyone used the disposable bibs any good or total carp?

WM, is Alex just sick? Is there any pain associated with the sickness?
  • Tia - do you have another husband who isn't ginger?

MFD - Do you think the bibs would be ok for holiday use. I can't bear the though of taking Liam bibs and them being sat will food on for a week! PS. they are 79p for a box of 12 in Quality Save - don't know if that is cheap or not?

I bought them to go on holiday with and took 2 other normal bibs with me (plus his long sleeved Ikea ones for feeding himself) and I ended up washing the 2 others over and over (with hotel soap!!) because the disposables just wouldn't stay on...but I do have a strong willed baby!!

This time I am taking 7 bibs and will wash as I need to...or hope he stays clean each day so I don't have to bother!!

Boots own and T/T ones are £2.99 for 20. So that looks good. Don't have a Quality save though!

Aptamil Comfort but just doing a live chat with C&G to see if I can get some sachets of the C&G Follow On Comfort to try. Don't wanna buy a whole carton

Glam, I did the live chat with C&G a few weeks ago. They are discontinuing the Comfort Follow on.

    MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £58774
  • Thanks. I might test one before we go. I might just be easier to take his normal ones, but the really crappy ones and not bring them home, oh, and not let OH do the feeding :)

  • That is such a simple solution - why didn't I think of that. Actually, Mum has some plasticy ones at her house. GENIUS!

    Thanks MM.

As I am a bad, bad workinmummy, I can't comment about all of his sickness throughout the day, but I would say that yesterday there must have been. When i was picking Joe up from After school club, he screamed and screamed, then when back in his carseat, was sick. Then in the night he woke crying, after i had settled him, he was then sick again, but this wasn't milky watery sick, it was cottage cheesey and i was very glad that i was down there, because he was lied down on his back, and i had to put my hand in a scoop it out of his mouth, then turn him on his side. If he had been on his own, he may well have choked on it.

I was supposed to have the Heath Visitor coming this morning for 6 month check, but she cancelled last night and rearranged for next Thursday. Was going to discuss it with her then. Will have to see how he goes, if it gets any worse, will go to Docs before I see her.
