ooooooooooooooooooooo and my Hazelwood Teething necklace has come from BB. J is gonna look weird wearing a necklace :o

    !

I am seriously hoping I have one when i get home :p. Because Alex is now being sick ALL of the time, infant gaviscon seems to be now failing miserably after working so well. Have one soggy, wet baby all of the time and keep running out of bibs even thought the washing machine is on every night. Anyone used the disposable bibs any good or total carp?

I think you do accrue annual leave and public holidays, but only to a minimum governmental requirement. It’s then up to individual employers if they pay any additional holidays e.g. I get 28 days AL and 12 PHs. If the national minimum is 20 days leave which can include PHs, it’s up to my employer if they want to pay the other 20 days, but they must pay me for 12PHs and 8 AL.

I may be completely wrong (and the figures are just for an example) but I think that’s how it works.

ETA - ok, Elle arrived just as I started typing! Not checked if I was right yet!

I think minimum leave is now 28 days - 20 days annual leave plus 8 days BH. I get 30 days plus 8 bank holidays but work said I could still accure my normal 30 days :j

WM- gaviscon working here for now. J looks like Rodney out of Emmerdale with the necklace on :rotfl:

Silly question - but Weezl made me think of it.
When you've had your baby in the pool at home, how do you empty the pool?
    aless02 wrote: »
3 - I always wondered that too - but more importantly how do you fill the pool and keep it warm? That baffles me - I keep picturing hubby boiling the kettle every 5 minutes to top up the warm water...

You empty it by syphoning the water out with the hose you filled it with (we didn't bother buying a pump) You fill it with a hose connected to hot water tap, and keep it warm while filling it with an inflated heat cover and you get your hubby to fetch stock pots full of hot water to keep it warm, or reconnect it to the hot tap again for a bit after removing a few buckets of water. Sounds like a lot of hassle but not too bad really!

Can't remember what else I wanted to say, should make notes!

Right hubby is complaining I'm ignoring him so off to watch a film with him. Hopefuly be back later.

We tried the Asda ones last time we went on holiday and they were complete crap (we can say crap, if we can be arsed ;))

  • Tia - I like the detail on the floor plan :D
Dora - bored here too. Need to pop to the PO with work related post, shame I left my personal pile of stuff to post at home today :( Would have saved me a job tomorrow.

    Mmm. lunch time...

MFD - Do you think the bibs would be ok for holiday use. I can't bear the though of taking Liam bibs and them being sat will food on for a week! PS. they are 79p for a box of 12 in Quality Save - don't know if that is cheap or not?

Aptamil Comfort but just doing a live chat with C&G to see if I can get some sachets of the C&G Follow On Comfort to try. Don't wanna buy a whole carton.

Thanks MFD, just thinking of the childminder really, put plenty of bibs in his bag, but he seems to go through them all and muslins as well.

Well one chipbarm consumed (yes i said barm, i'm a Wiganner!). I swear I've put on weight since I came back to work. Its the only place I eat. Can't check though, because the Shopfloor scales are bust. Cadburys Flake anyone?
