    Hugs for PP.

F, F, F have just smashed my car up on the works car park. Have reversed into a huge wagon that you cant miss (obviously!). Totally smashed up rear window and dented the hatch back door. F. F. F in hell!:mad::mad::mad::mad:

the think is i only got £92 a week in smp .. i should get my p60 in the next month so i'll just tell them that and info them i was on smp im just worried they'll cut me off as it looks like ive worked less then 16hrs a week .. iykwim x

SM - doesn't matter if you only got paid a tenner a week...as long as you were still employed on a 16hr contract throughout the Maternity period then it will be fine (Maternity is still classed as employed)
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

when are your test results due back?

Just now! The ferritin one is fine, and the receptionist says the doctor doesn't need to see me again. I still feel really unwell though. I guess I'll just have to manage and try and get on with stuff as there's nothing wrong with me.

Yes thanks, apart from wanting to burst into tears for being so stupid. And feel sick. Waiting for insurance to call back.

    Can't wait to tell OH.

Just have to console myself with the fact that at least the kids weren't in the car.

ahhhh ebay nightmare! i think this buyer is having me on! i sent her a car seat after waiting for 2 days for her to reply to my could you confirm your addy as ebay had sent me 2 different addresses. she then asked when she would have it so i posted yesterday and she recieved today stating' i am not happy as the car seat smells of cigarettes and i want to know what you will do or i will leave neg feedback' noone smokes in my house and the car seat was in fantastic condition, i messaged her back stating this and told her she got the car seat mega cheap and i would not be willing to compensate as there was no problem when it left so send it back and i would refund. she is now saying she has washed it and the covers are fine however the polystyrene smells? also do i think that it has been caused by the delivery driver smoking? she will let me know what she wants to do! i am gobsmacked and think she is having me on and wanting money back for a perfectly smoke free car seat! what would you suggest?

If she is not happy, she can send it back at her cost. Even if she made a paypal claim they would tell her to return it at her expense recorded delivery to get a refund. Plastic does have a smell to it.

If she leaves neg feedback you can probably get it removed because she has tried blackmailing you with it. If not, you just leave a reply along the lines of 'refused to return it for refund, car seat was fine and blackmailed me with feedback'. Its a common thing on ebay so most folk will understand.
Only if they are not married but we are so either of us can do it on our own.

Right I'm up and going to go get ready for sling meet today! But first I have a question about expressing - why won't my manual pump work?! It's definitely put together right but I just can't get anything to come out using it. I've done some manual expressing last night and this morning but only managed about 20ml each time. The pump is the Avent one.

Is the little white vavle opening? Give it a flick. Get rid of the stupid rubber bit that goes in the horn. Double and triple check the seals around the handle. It does take a few pumps to build up suction though.

Some new mum woes here :D

Last night was a sleepless night to :(

BF was hurting so much i was crying everytime she sucked. And she was on there for about 9 hours (ish), i had an hour sleep in between.
She was mainly suckling for comfort, so at 4am i gave her a dummy. I wasn't going to, but it worked and she slept for 2 hours and woke at 6 and then 7 for another feed.
Was i ok to do that? :o

And also she hasn't pooped since like 8pm. Is that Normal? :(

Right now she's sleeping in this lay down baby chair thing, its quite small so i think she likes the compactness :)

I have to sort through all her newborn clothes (that i wahsed and folded all ready for her..)
Most of them only go upto 10lbs, which she'll be hitting soon!

Let her sleep where ever she will sleep so you get some sleep. A dummy is fine, I used one for all 3. Your producing colostrum right now so it will feel like all she is doing is feeding, its a good thing and will get easier in the next day or so, expect that milk to come in soon. The pain can last for about 2 weeks till your nipples become less sensitive.

Are you swaddling her nice and tight? You can roll up some towels or blankets to make a nest in her moses basket too if it will help.

It gets easier, but right now your ONLY job is to cuddle your baby, never mind clothes, order Feef to get that done. He can see too food. You need lots of food of water even though most folk don't have much of an appetite in the first week, eat and drink plenty.
