OBEM i watched this last night and had tears streaming down my face! i cant understand why the baby girl wasnt given straight to her mum? why do they insist on wrapping them up? what about skin to skin? with all but Abi(meconium) i had the baby handed straight to me no interfering, no cord cut or cleaning just straight into my arms and onto my chest.
I put down that I wanted ALice to be wrapped before being handed over in my birth plan. (I had a bit of a weird cleanliness obsession when pregnant.) They were obsessed with following that particular part despite ignoring everything else.

tara - DH would get an ear bashing off me if he moaned about not getting alone time to do his own stuff! He goes out with his mates every odd Friday night, but not much else - partly because he's always at work! But I have kindly reminded him that whilst his working day finishes when he gets home, mine still carries on with feeding, tidying, then getting chores done whilst kids are in bed.

Glam, I got him to see if you could open the fuel tank when the car was moving (well, in gear, handbrake off) to ensure that no 'survivors' could syphon off my diesel :D But now you have made me panic because we haven't checked the trajet!!!!:eek::eek: I do however have a spade in the trajet, so weapon and handy for digging make shift graves for the Zombies I kill with my makeshift axe fashioned from a tree branch (so they don't stink up the place).

Also, just incase we were to get stuck in a snowdrift there is a blanket and bottles of water in there too. And a fully stocked first aid kit. And a chair. And a kettle that plugs into the many many cigarette lighters. And 7 pairs of gloves. And a toilet roll.

Well DH is on his way home with a chicken and baguettes (how random - some bloke at work gave them to him?!), so I'm going to sign off, get sarnies done for tomorrow and get kettle on.

Hope you have a peaceful night SM - don't worry about them, they'll be fine :)

    Night all :)
