I'm sitting here trying to think of how we worded it ......
Think I said something along the lines of as we have been living together for so long and have all of the basics we need, we would prefer money so we could purchase a few larger items

We actually put in a new bathroom with it in the end !

  • Evening ladies and Bruno,

A very sad day here in MFD towers. My uncle passed away last night. He was 93 and had lived a very long and full life, it was very peaceful, he passed in hospital in no pain.

If we all live our lives as he did the world would be a happy place. It is still a sad, sad day though.

I hadn't gotten around to taking Benjamin up to see him (in the North East) though, which is a very big regret, although I had sent several letters and photos since Benjamin was born which is some comfort. A reminder to us all to make an extra effort to introduce our babies to their extended families and friends who we care about - you never know when it may be too late.

    God bless Uncle George xxx

Em Tesco are normally pretty good and send out replacement no problem. We have had 2 issues with them recently and both have been resolved one with a full refund and the other we kept item and got £20 gift card. But that is only our experience.
Did you ring and moan or email? The order was in OH's name so I dont know if I can ring and moan or not, but I can email IYSWIM! If I leave him to ring, it'll never get done!!

We didn't have to work anything in any way!

The guys (and gals) at DH's work decided they were going to pay for the DJ at the reception, so they did :D We had 2 days in Stirling as a honeymoon while my mum and dad and his mum and dad looked after Michael, so they also handed us an envelope with about £150 to have fun with. We actually didn't even mention gifts on the invites as we were already set up in house anyway. We got some really nice wine glasses and stuff too.
