    I spend when I'm bored!

J is flat out! OH just checked him and he's snoring - am definitely going to feed him later and see what happens. OH wants me to get drunk tonight but I won't - I'm too worried J will wake & I'll put him on our bed.

Hi MM - you coming to Chester then?

Oh talking of drink.. We've got our recycling boxes near the front door, supposedly as a reminder to put them out but we haven't done it for about six weeks (fortnightly collection) and now we look like right drunks given the amount of wine and beer bottles in the glass box! :o:( Really must remember to put them out next time, not this Monday but next I think.

    Another off topic rant.. but..
We got a evening invitation to the wedding do of an old college friend today. I've seen her once since Rhys was born and once while pregnant. They've been living together for years already and the invite says "[they] have requested that gifts be in the form of monetary donations"... Donations to(wards) what exactly?! Even if you're going to spend the money on your gas bill, surely some vague/false/bluff idea might be nice for the guests?!

Not tackled anything on the list yet.

I'm thinking of doing the cupcakes first as I've never made them before I don't want to be rushing them.

Just waiting for Katie to be deeply asleep before I rev up the hand mixer.

Right just going to dig out all the ingredients as they're scattered about the house.

She's in town anyway so I txt her saying I was bored and she's coming to pick me up to go to Asda :D We want to look at that Chicco stroller if they have it in already cos that's one of the ones on mum's shortlist anyway. I know it'll be sod's law they don't have anything in ours yet

That is exactly what I thought J would be like when I left him with my friend yesterday but thankfully he was OK. I think its because we see her regularly but he's never been out of my sight for more than a few hours in the whole 7 months :o

I don't know what you did when you left but I handed J to my friend and she showed him something while I sneaked out. I didn't say Goodbye or wave or anything, she said he turned around to look for me so she distracted him with some toys for a minute or two and he was fine. I totally expected him to cry when I got back when he realised I'd left him but he just smiled and carried on playing.

I've done that before whilst my friend was giving her a bottle but when she looked up and realised I'd gone, she got upset. When my mum has her, they stand at the window and wave bye-bye so she knows I've gone and she's fine all day, so I thought that was the way to go with nursery. Oh, I don't know what to do for the best.

I keep thinking about how to leave Molly with someone after reading about PP and chopsticks. She likes going to new people but she does feel the need to be able to see me - short bursts of strangers (to her) I think will be the way to go. Although she's happy to hang out with Papa when I'm out and when she was smaller spent a couple of hours at a time with my mother while I was at the hospital with the sick husband.

Molly loves a friend of mine and will claw her way out of my arms to get to him. It's sweet really - and fortunately he loves babies so it all works out.

I would definitely recommend it. I really wish I'd started the settling-in sessions a couple of weeks ago and then booked her in for some afternoon sessions before I went back. I was just being selfish and wanted her to myself as long as possible and it's come right back and bitten me on the bum now :(

I was hoping to spend this evening with you but have just found out that I need to be round my friend's house for 8:30 tomorrow morning so we can get to a NCT sale nice and early. So, I need to have a shower and wash my hair instead.

Before I forget, MIL told me that Huggies wipes are buy 1 get 2 free in Tesco at the moment. I haven't been myself, so haven't seen them. All I know is that I got the two free ones from her today :D

((hugs)) to all poorly babies and mummies.

Jillie, I'm glad Kian got on well at nursery today. Bet you found lots of sand under his nails! Have fun with your sister.

Maz, hugs to you. Caitlin went through a phase (sorry, that's that word again!) of only going to sleep on me in the daytime. She's never been a very good day time sleeper and if you look through my old posts, you'll see lots of posts from me moaning how she won't sleep in her cot in the day, how she won't sleep full stop in the day etc. All were given good advice from the ladies on her, so it might be worth looking back a bit. At 9 months old now, she still isn't a great day time sleeper (just one 30 minute sleep today) and it can be depressing when you don't even have time to unload the dishwasher or chance to wash your hair or put some washing in the machine. I know exactly what you're going through :(
