DO you let her play in her cot/crib Maz? I've found that if they know they can play in there they are more inclined to be happy to be there and eventually nod off. Anytime you go to the loo, pop her in with some toys and that way she learns that it can be fun but she is not trapped there.

NM will she not fall asleep in your arms and then can you transfer her to her cot??

Only at nighttime. If she falls asleep in my arms in the day, putting her down anywhere automatically wakes her up. And i've tried everything she could possibly sleep in or on!

Oh well, i finally got her to sleep in her pram and have left her outside with ILs :D

Thanks for advice everyone. I know there's not much anyone can do but it helps just to rant! And with the early weaning thing, my friend has done that on HV advice but her baby has always been big - 9lb2oz at birth and on hungry baby milk as soon as went on formula at about a month - and with Evie being small, i just presumed she wouldn't be ready early.

I haven't so will try it. But she's never fallen asleep on her own anywhere (and we have tried from early on) so that would be a miracle!

I like asda/tesco vests. Primark ones don't sit right at the neck and they shrink in the TD. I don't know if I am more snobby now or if primark has gotten worse

Primark grown up clothes have got rubbish too. They were never great quality but could be relied on for strappy tops and such - my big floppy loose maternity-friendly ones didn't last me last summer, and I bought OH a whole new range of undergarments at Christmas and they're all shrinking in the wash too, so he's constantly picking at his crotch :o

Sorry for rant. I just get so jealous when people say LO's are having a nap. Seriously can't remember last time Evie went 'down for a nap'. When she does these days its in her pram if i'm out with her, or in my arms at home, in which case i have to sit with her.

Would you consider a wrap sling so you can at least have your arms free while she snoozes on you?

Molly and I have been in bed feeling sick and miserable all afternoon, I've eaten half a 200g Toblerone bar from Christmas to try and make myself feel a bit better but I failed :(

 at all those sickly TT babies - we're not doing anywhere near as badly as poor Charlie and the others, I feel so awful for you all and the ones who aren't on here.

I'm still all  from this morning, I was registered for the Outnet's £1 sale of designer stuff, I had a £1 Miu Miu dress in my basket, got to checkout and it booted me out and by the time I got back in it was sold out. If they knew how many people had registered they should have made sure their servers could cope

Tonight mostly involves dinner, bed and movies. Family sick time, and we're supposed to be off to Copenhagen on Wednesday and even if we're healthy enough (I have to go for work) the volcano might mess with our plans. Still, if that happens and I miss the conference I still have to interview someone there and can reschedule my talk.

K has never been a big baby (well he was 8lbs8ozs but was late, had he looked at his calendar he would only have been 7lbs odd!) but wasn't ever 'big'. He also never had the hungry baby milk or took anymore than 5ozs at a feed, still won't other than last bottle when he takes 6/7ozs and hes 6 mths now.

ah, if only there was a manual, and a mute button a stand-by button and maybe even a return to factory settings switch

What you getting the MIL to make for your dinner? :rotfl:

I'm loving all the casual 'volcano' talk thats being bandied about!! Only because it doesn't effect me, but was out today and folk are like volcano this, volcano that. Totally cool for saddo people watcher/ eavesdroppers like me!

Just bought 2 cute sunhats :D for J of course!
    I resisted 3 outfits though :j

Got some ice lollys and have just realised that instead of buying the Hipp Organic milk, I've automatically picked up the C&G :mad: I THINK I've got enough for tonight so will go and change it tomorrow!

I've been to ASDA every day this week cos I've got a brain like a sieve!
Have got some cartons of C&G Follow On to try him on for a few days to see if that does anything! He doesn;t like the Aptamil one.
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

Bummer, I was all over my town today and no-one stocks the c&g goodnight milk so I'll need to go to the big Asda the next town over tomorrow!

I've put K on the follow on milk and not had any issues so far. The powder is very white tho!

Maz, if you can feed LO to sleep lying down, so your not holding her, it's easier to sneak away!
