That is exactly what I thought J would be like when I left him with my friend yesterday but thankfully he was OK. I think its because we see her regularly but he's never been out of my sight for more than a few hours in the whole 7 months

I don't know what you did when you left but I handed J to my friend and she showed him something while I sneaked out. I didn't say Goodbye or wave or anything, she said he turned around to look for me so she distracted him with some toys for a minute or two and he was fine. I totally expected him to cry when I got back when he realised I'd left him but he just smiled and carried on playing.

EA - Mine was 6 weeks but I only bleed for about 3 weeks after (not sure if thats any indication)

J woke at 10.30am and OH settled him, then he woke at 1am wouldnt settle so came in with us til 5.30am when he was wide awake :cool: AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I NEED SOME SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Right. housework day today so try not to distract me too much

I had AF return anywhere betwenn 8 weeks (the week after I stopped bleeding from the birth!!) and 16 months..

EA I'd correct them, Edgar was accidentally recorded as "white Irish" not "white British" ob the hosp records and I had it corrected I don't like things being wrong:p
BFing can affect your periods so yours may take longer to come back than someone who didn't do any BFing. I BF Chris for less than 2 weeks and I think I had a light p at around 4 weeks then nothing for another 6 weeks.


While we're on the subject, I've had painful crampiness for at least a week now, no sign of bleeding or any kind of infection, would you be worried?

Rhys and I are slobbing in PJs this morning The living room looks very clean and tidy (and empty!) after my mad tidying and cleaning session last night (spot cleaned the carpet and everyfink! ). Bring on the monster-in-law!

We've been talking about Rhys' birthday and I've made it clear to OH that I want it to be just us three on Rhys' actual birthday. We're having a family get together with my family at Mum's on the Sunday before (cos that's when my sis and SIL can make) which OH's family are more than welcome to come to or we could arrange something just for them on the Saturday or the Tuesday (but preferably not cos I'm at work on Tuesday! :cool:). Turns out, they've all agreed to come to my parents so we can all be together! :j Am hoping OH's granny will come too so we can have pics of allll of Rhys' grandparents (two grandmas, two grandads, three great-grandmas and a great-grandad)

I don't really want to do an organised party but if anyone asks I think we'll have a bit of an open house with cake and tea on the Saturday for visiting friends etc We're going out with the Boogie Babies bunch on the following Thursday because there are three first birthdays that week

Rhys is sat bolt upright watching tv (he does have toys in front of him too!). He's getting braver with turning right round to see me behind him now and reaching further and further without falling over. Before he used to pull himself up using his arms but now he's pushing with his legs and just using our hands for balance

I like things to be correct to. Its only an hour out. But it makes her seem an hour younger! lol
I did tell them before when it was on my Maternity Notes. They also keep calling her Lily Von-Doom when i've told them she's registered as Lily Valentine :rollseyes:

Thank you all for the get well wishes and vibes, it got very scarey for a while as he stopped reacting to us and didnt move for hours, his eyes glazed over and it was like he had just given up. After 5mls of juice every 5 mins a drip and various meds and tablets he is ok, he is still pure white and the nappies are beyond awful!! we have the rest with upset tummys and being sick so its not much fun here!
We did have an amazing student nurse who looked after Charlie and cannot wait for him to go back in to see her when he is well again! He got obsessive with the ear thermometer and every time she walked in the room he would say beep beep beep lol!!
Im now off to get another load of washing put on and hopefully the sun will stay out all day to help get it dried:cool: will prob be on and off all day depending on how this lot are(and if i can climb back into bed for a while!)

I keep thinking about how to leave Molly with someone after reading about PP and chopsticks. She likes going to new people but she does feel the need to be able to see me - short bursts of strangers (to her) I think will be the way to go. Although she's happy to hang out with Papa when I'm out and when she was smaller spent a couple of hours at a time with my mother while I was at the hospital with the sick husband.

Molly loves a friend of mine and will claw her way out of my arms to get to him. It's sweet really - and fortunately he loves babies so it all works out.

Gymboree was interesting today... I took OH because I'm going to miss a couple and thought he should be able to see how it works, and he was all self conscious when it came to singing and dancing :rotfl: But the babies were super social today, maybe because there were only 6 instead of 8 (or 12 like last week). And Molly is one of the best behaved ones there, there's one kid who flagrantly victimises another and is constantly taking her instruments away.
