jam - definitely different! The silver bars are on the seat in my car but in yours they are just in the air
Just watching the youtube clip from Kiddicare on fitting.

right 2 minutes in it shows the fitting and the silver bars are against the seat like mine.
I guess it could be because we have different cars.
Sorry that pic is so bigA very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

The silver bars are on the seat in mine, it's just the angle of the pic. However, the vid does say that no part of the seat belt clip should be touching the plastic and ours is!!!
Think the positioning is just the size of the seats but will have to change ours cos the plastic clip touches . Isn't it bad when you just assume the people know how to fit them and ours is not quite right
Gonna have a change arounbd of it tomorrow and may go shout at Mothercare!

I'll check if the clip is on the plastic tomorrow. I thought the woman doing it was a right know it all, being all patronising as she fitted it but maybe thats a good thing!
Looking at it - your seat does look narrower than mine but mine is definitely set much higher up. You can tell by the T bar section that rests against the backrest of the car - yours is like the picture I linked to but mine is much higher up.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

I've just been waxing super lyrical to OH about how useful being an internet mummy is - I'm so glad potential dangers like that can be spotted and talked about and researched and a problem in carseat positioning can be fixed because we all love looking at baby photos

Our woman did say to put it flat (like your on line pic) but then she didn't mention the platic buckle so who knows what she knew! Might pop in tomorrow, just double check and see what they say - will also see if it says in the manual about the seatbelt clip and point it out to them!!!!
ETA Sugar, thats why I love this place - even if I don't post often (but I've posted lots the past two days - will retreat agin soon lol)
ETA2 Am tempted to pop into Halfords first and ask them to have a look.....will report back tomoz xxxMy baby girl :kisses3: September 09 :heartsmil0 -

Their silver things are further off than mine!!!

Bah! I'm a German illiterate
I hear stirrings from the bedroom, hopefully Molly has found her binkie, put it back in and requires no intervention from me. She almost ripped the skin at the top of my arm off while feeding right before bed and I am miserably achy and sore so it was even worse than normal
BTW, my lovely husband took the opportunity to ask how Poppie was (although he referred to her as the internet baby at the sh!tty hospital) and then asked about the premature babies and how Beenie is doing with her crappy ex. I think it's adorable that he actually listens when I tell him things and think he's just staring vacantly into the distance :rotfl:
MFD, he was a little bit sad not to get to meet Benjamin too, I think he wanted to check out Molly's potential future husband early on. But now my VBF is pregnant I think we're widening the pool of potentials... the thought of VBF and I buying clashing wedding outfits and heckling the best man is well nigh impossible to resist.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

SS, glad you sound a little brighter
. Did you get "binkie" from your hubby? My dad was calling it that when he was here and now my DH has picked it up and calls it that.
Finn just woke up and took 30 minutes to settle...very unusual, as these are his most reliable sleeping hours! Hope it's not an indication of the night to come. Fingers crossed.
