He's back at the paediatrician again on Saturday. I think this time though the news might be better, as he seems to the naked eye at least to be piling on the weight and also to be a little less sicky (though he has good days and bad days). The new paed thought that he might well be allergic to milk (breast and formula) and put him on this hypoallergenic stuff which you can only get on prescription. He also told us to use this milk sparingly and to ramp up the solids so he gets more nutrition from food than milk. All of which seems completely counterintuitive for a six month old baby but does seem to be helping a bit. I was so sad to give up breast feeding though, and I still find it a bit hard to work out what to feed him on every day. When they are on 3 meals and 2 snacks a day but are still at the mushy food stage, the freezer stocks soon run out and its hard to think of things to give him lots of variety! I have started trying to add in a bit of BLW and giving him tastes of what we are having too, but he doesn't eat enough that way to keep the weight up so can't go completely down that route yet.

    How is he energy wise?

I'm sure you will get there. Sorry to hear about giving up BF, I know it's hard, but it gets easier after a few weeks (think once the hormones are out of your system).

Quite perky. He has two short naps a day and sleeps well at night but for the remainder of the time he's quite contented really. Which is another huge difference as he cried all of the time (or so it felt) for the first 4 months or so. It's about 6 weeks now since I stopped breastfeeding so I'm over the worst of it, just sometimes have a pang when I'd like to put him back on just for the closeness of it all. I did though go out and buy some nice new non-nursing bras yesterday and it was nice to feel pretty again underneath the bespattered tops at least. Though my boobs are even bigger now than before I got pregnant - 32FF :eek:. Better stop at 3 kids I think otherwise they'll be coming into the room 30 seconds before the rest of me :rotfl:

I hope you're ok Nicki, and I'm glad Edward seems to be doing better.

Molly's grand thanks, bit of a scare with her red spots earlier but apparently it's just a growth spurt and nothing terrifying.

I had a full on two hour nap!! Molly is now all dressed in her sleepsuit, lovely husband found it abandoned from this morning on the changing table where I'd not had time to drop it in the washbox and thought I was hinting at him :rotfl: and when she goes down I might go with her.

    Evening

Wow, lovely pics Becles....What a brilliant keepsake for when she's older to show off to her friends:D

Well after my little moan about dh this morning, he has been a star all day. I currently feel well enough to sit up so have said he's fine to go up on the computer, he was still reluctant and kept checking I would be ok:kisses3:

Older two are just having some supper (which they are making themselves) and then they are off to bed, I don't think i'll be far behind them, I am exhausted despite sleeping for 3hrs earlier! Not sure whether to risk some toast??
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

I've been extravagant today and splashed out on a new changing bag, as I managed to snap the strap of my existing one. Spent much more than I meant to, but it is a nice bag and doesn't really look like a changing one.

    Tis very nice though! :p
Glad E is better. I'm struggling with the what to give J - he seems off his food the last day or two, especially breakfast. He just won't eat it no matter what I do.
And has been very sicky the last day or so, so it seems the Gaviscon was working - I thought maybe he didn't need it. Will restart that tomorrow I think! :o

    Glad El is getting better!

Becles - love the avvy and OH & BIL were very impressed with the pics! I remember showing everyone in work the picture of me and Harry Redknapp and about 90% of people didn't even know who he was :(

Mel - Glad DH is looking after you

Glam - is that car seat fitted correctly? If so, ours must be wrong! We got the same one and the base is much flatter on the seat and C is not reclined half as much (cos of the base position, not the seat position). Who fitted it for ya? Will go get a pic of ours......

Massive hugs to all the sick babba's

    Happy birthday NMS

    General hugs all round xxx
