MSE Parents Club Part 11

Morning all I've not read back for, but I'm sorry to hear of all the poorly little ones Get better soon babies!!!

All good here. Made a not very MSE, but sanity saving decision this week and now Izzy is having meals at nursery. My parents said to only make her tea on the day they have her, and she can share whatever they are having at lunchtime. So this means I might finish my evening chores and eat my tea before bedtime!

Morning. Not the best night here either - however, I think half the problem was DH *rolleyes*. He's been a right grouch since coming home from Paris, when then in turn makes Finn harder to settle (b/c he insists on trying himself and then he gets impatient and Finn winds up even more, meaning I have to step in anyway), and then we wind up fighting at like 2 in the morning...cue times 3 for the past 3 nights and I'm knackered. I knew last night was going to be bad though because Finn didn't get his last nap b/c we were out .

Hope the sicky babies are better . No plans for us today...

Well didnt have a great night last night with the earlier bedtime, but I seem to remember someone saying it can take a few nights to help, so I am going to carry on with it. T stayed in bed from 7pm to 7am but had numerous short feeds at roughly 8, 11, 1, 4 and 6, and a couple of random wake ups where I was able to settle him too. Feel absolutely knackered now!! We had the worst night in ages here last night zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, am knackered!! On top of the random not sleeping due to teeth he seems to be trying out new sleeping positions and deciding he doesn't like it and wants dummy back etc! He seems to quite like being on his side tho, he looks so cute now hes big enough to choose how he wants to lie!
Hes being so fussy with food its unreal! I'm sure its teeth, he either goes off the bottle or off spoon food, the last few days hes been off spoon food. Hes point blank refusing to open his mouth for his porridge that he eats every morning without fail and is [STRIKE]feeding the dog toast [/STRIKE]having toast *roll eyes*

Am has woke up with red cheeks (like teething) and then the same all over her forehead

Do you think she might have bumped her head in the night or something tto do with the cheeks??

She's fine chatting away and had her brekki, just looks a bit sore.

Yes they are only allowed to have one under one. So if they have a baby under one of their own, they can't have another.

Just a thought but, if your little one is 8mths and your back in 3mths making her 11mths, you don't really need to limit your search to CM's that have vacancies for under1's, some creative holiday taking or parental leave could get you enough time off til shes 1? (If you really want to go back that is)

It totally doesn't bother me when OH says hes babysitting, yes, hes the parent as much as I am but I'm the main carer, thats why hes at work and I'm on Maternity leave. Pretty much all decisions over what K does come through me, discussed with OH of course , but OH wouldn't randomly make plans to go anywhere,lunch with builders named Dave and things, with the baby without telling me like I would.
So he might be 'our' baby but really hes 'my' baby and 'my' job and if I'm skiving off, then OH is babysitting!

Im going to ask about taking some unpaid special leave possibly. ive used all my hols to take me up to July. but an extra month of no pay wouldnt kill us!!

I know there making lots of ppl redundant so theres a chance they'll say no to get rid of me cheaply but we can only try

Thank you hunny. Where's the M58 , I try to avoid coming through Liverpool where possible.

ETA: I've just done an AA route planner. I didn't even know where Wigan was - it'd be silly to go round the long way. So yes, i'll be coming from the M58.


Hugs for El & Charlie. V seems loads better but still has the smelliest wet poops. L hasn't been sick since yesterday lunchtime, but hasn't eaten yet.

Hope there is some good news from Caz today. And really hope El improves for you Scruffy. It's terrible that they have both gotten so ill so quickly.

I would say "babysitting" if I or OH were staying home whilst the other was out on a night out too, just in a throwaway, flippant, comment type of way. Not because I believe that it's actually akin to babysitting if we were looking after her during the day on a normal basis. Hope that makes sense....I know what I mean!

PP - When I was getting rid of my old TV, I phoned the British Heart Foundation as they have electrical shops, and they were happy to take it. You could check their website to see if any of their electrical shops are near you for the breadmaker?

Sorry for all the waking babies and tired parents. You must be shattered. I got up 4 times in the night, 3 to pop H's dummy back in when I heard her moaning, but by the time I got there, she was totally fine and still asleep, so I had jumped the gun. Just don't want her to make too much noise and wake DH! 4th time was because I felt ill, but seem ok today.

We are off to Baby Sensory this morning. Last week we turned up and the class had been cancelled so fingers crossed she hasn't forgotten to phone us this week! Then it's lunch with a friend whom I haven't seen for ages.

Bacon Roll group Csh? Or is that a Wed, I keep forgetting. Or is it closed for Easter?
