Just been doing some expressing for the first time ever... (well, first time for Amber)
I got 3oz? I don't think i rate the pump much it didn't seem to keep a good seal round boob, i had to keep adjusting its position, is that normal? I can't remember much about expressing for DS. It's the Avent Isis. I had the same pump with DS so never tried any others, not sure if it is actually the pump or my lack of practice.. Any thoughts?0 -
Beenie - 3 oz is perfectly normal, especially for your first try. I find it's EXTREMELY variable for occassional pumpers like me - last night I got mere droplets, todya I got 3 oz and other times I'll get 6!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Ditto, Aless. I generally find I can get 3-4oz if I express first thing and haven't fed of that side all night. I've got quite a good stash frozen which is useful as I have quite a few evenings out planned.
Well I had my morning out. I helped at the local NCt sale. It was really fun actually! I sold a few bits and got some mega bargains. Cot bedding set for a fiver and a widget pillow for £2!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
GISI, yup I get the most in the mornings - evenings are almost hopeless for getting any sort of meaningful amount!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

I'm off to pick up my bargain Loola in a bit. In-laws are visiting tomorrow so I will see if they want it for their house, if not I might eBay it unless I prefer it to our pushchair!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0

Beenie, you using the rubber petal thingy on it? Try using it with just the plastic horn and see if it makes any difference. Also, sometimes a little water (or milk) on the horn (plastic boob-cupping bit) helps form a better seal.
But 3oz is awesome! That is the most I ever got from both breasts.
I had another napIt's great!
Neighbours dog is at it again, she needs to stop leaving it alone like this!0 -
Just had a nap, which was nice, now I'm trying to do a playlist for my MP3 player for when I go into hosp, I am scared I put songs on it thought that I love and I have a nightmare labour and I then hate the songs?
