Elle - I wouldn't go on that holiday...just say you want a family holiday and if there's nothing for Rhys to do, what's the point?

I have my own selfish MIL...We were meant to be picking her up around 4.30 yesterday, we we actually said we would be there between 4-4.30, but didn't bother leaving the house till about 4.30 as we know she isn't the best at time keepiing. Stopped at the shop down the road to buy her a birthday card, and dh phoned her to say we are on the way, she was over the town shopping in Asda....she said she was almost done and would be home very quickly. So we carried on our journey and get to her flat by about 4.50, she didn't turn up until 5.15 and then spent 15 minutes faffing about so we didn't set off until 5.30, by the time we got to the pub and ordered dinner it was nearly 6, meaning the food didn't arrive until 6.25....Kai was crying hungry and tired by this point, the reason we said to pick her up by 4.30 was so we could get to the pub and have food ordered and on the table by 5/5.30 at the latest as Kai usually has his dinner by 5pm(not an hour and bloody half later!......he normally goes to bed by 7 or not long after, but because everything was put back, we were only just getting our food by 6.30 and then didn't get home until after 8pm Kai was grumpy and upset, even the older two were shattered by this point...............I am never arranging anything with her again. Stupid selfish woman, I should have just called the whole thing off when I heard she wasout shopping at the latest time we were meant to be getting her, I hate being messed about, if I make an agreement to meet someone, I would never dream of being that late...I just think it is downright rude!!!!

Yes it was her birthday but it was also meant to be a nice day out for the kids too, but it was ruined by her, cos it then meant the kids were also getting hungry and were complaing about where the food was and how long it is going to take, Kai was crying, so I just got mega !!!!ed off and stomped off to the toilet but not before moaning to dh about how everyone wouldn't be annoyed/upset/hungry, if we had actually got to the pub at a reasonable time, LIKE WE HAD AGREED! So that then meant he got in a mood...haha, well good it is your stupid mother that can't be bothered to meet when she agreed....

Sorry for the big rant, That has been getting on my nerves all night and I really want to make sure I keep my word and never make arrangements with her again!!!!

That sounds pants Mel. It used to annoy me when they bairns were little and meal times got messed around. They just don't understand why they haven't got dinner - poor things.

Had a gorgeous meal out last night, then went for a couple of drinks in another bar. Really enjoyed it

Got an audit to do this morning, and off to a uni tutorial this afternoon.

Jack has looked in all the bairns bedrooms this morning and he can't understand why they are not here - awww!
Here I go again on my own....

Sounds lovely becles, glad you enjoyed it:)

Good luck with the tutorial today. I am currently trying to decide between two courses, and whether to start in October or leave it till Feb.....not sure if October is a bit ambitious!

What courses are they? Is it with the OU?

I found the Level 1 courses were easy and I didn't need to spend as much time on them as suggested. Level 2 needed just under the time they stated apart from B203 which had masses and masses of reading on it (5 huge textbooks!). Level 3 is harder and I've spent the stated time or longer on it.

Yeah with the OU, I have already done a fair bit with them....but not sure if I still want to go in the same direction or not? I am trying to decide between French, which would be a level 1 or Creative Writing which is a level 2.

I have already completed a few lit and lang courses at levels 1 & 2:)

    Morning everyone,

Apologies for disappearing last night I fell asleep until DH got in from work when he kicked me of the sofa up to bed.

((Hugs)) for those with selfish MIL and missed sun holiday opportunities.

Katie is watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (again!) she has asked to go to a chocolate factory so I'm going to plan that for after our holiday.

Tara - you can't go we'll miss you too much.

Food and party bits and pieces shopping today.

    Morning all...

We appear to have a.... *whispers*.... routine!! How did that happen?! Bed at 10pm, up at 8am. Fits us really well so far so we're going with it. Who'd have thought, five week before I'm back at work proper :p

Going to work on Wednesday has really mixed up my week and I keep mixing up what day it is. Hurrah for guidance from Saturday Kitchen! :o OH is at work this morning but don't think we have plans for this afternoon. If the weather holds up might see about a walk on the seafront and some hot doughnuts :D

For now, I have croissants, blueberry jam and a cuppa.. happy bunny :)
