I'd be outraged elle - fair enough if you'd said something about them babysitting while you did loads of stuff, but apropos of nothing at all? Rude rude rude, and "you chose to have him" !!!!!!?!
I'd just tell her you want to have a family holiday that Rhys will enjoy. There's no sense spending a fortune on long haul flights so he can be bored in a different country.
Sorry about your holiday Glam
Bowling was fun, I didn't come last because there was a woman there who was astonishingly useless. The man had to come and walk down the lane twice to rescue balls that had come to a stop in the gutter :rotfl:
Tia, the shoes are Irregular Choice.
Enjoy your meeting Scottish ladies
:grouphug: Aless, it's ok to be sad about not getting enough sleep. I wish I could do something useful for you while your DH is away.
I miss Beenie and Weezl too.
Feeling very hungover, but I only had two cocktails so it isn't drink, just tiredness. I have a good guy friend and referred to him to Molly as Uncle Peter, and then I asked if he minded and he was all misty eyed and over the moon. I asked OH if he minded, and he said that if he didn't know better he'd think the two of us were having an affair  Fortunately he knows we're not (although it's not the first time he's said that) so he's just being objectionable.
Etiquette question: If you're friends with a couple but friends with them as separate people IYSWIM, is it ok for one of them to be Uncle to your kid and the other not to be Auntie?Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

thx ss
i want to experiment with something while dh is away to see if it will help with the sleep, but he can be rather clse-minded so in that way it's good he's away if that makes sense.
Also...it is fairly obvious that ur better friends with him than her? If not, she'll prolly be slightly offended if u use the term all the time. Reminds of BIL's stupid girlfriend whom NO ONE likes but he wants finn to call her auntie. I haven't ever said no, but nor will i make an effort to refer to her that way. We're seriously hoping he dumps her before their semi-planned wedding in 2012.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

no idea ss for the auntie/uncle thing cos i only ever had 'proper' aunts/uncles but you might potentially hurt her feelings a little...'Children are not things to be moulded, but are people to be unfolded'0

My "aunties" are all actual aunties or my two godmothers. I feel uncomfortable when OH's friends refer to me as auntie to their kid, particularly if I've not known the child from birth
OH is called uncle by a lot of his friend's kids though. I only say Rhys' aunties are my sis and her 'wife' - I always stumble over the word auntie when talking about OH's sister!

I hate this glorious weather, it reminds me how much I miss Brighton:( I suppose I really should put some washing on and get it out on the line today...seeing as I have a whole linen basket overflowing still.Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
