Same here Glam, ours is £15k difference and still in the same income bracket :( Spend your extra pound and a bit wisely, won't you? ;)

It's ridiculous really as its a huge difference in income!

What the pound that will be taxed at 20p, NI at 11p & Pension at 6p leaving me with 63p :rotfl:Can't buy much with that these days! :(

Off to bed now - I have a huge mystery shopping job on tomorrow so need my wits about me! :)

oh and Elle - stuff MIL and save the money for a holiday for the 3 of you!

My PIL said they weren't coming up for BIL's birthday as he would be home so OH said we could look at going to Spain - I checked flights and it was only £150 return for all 3 of us. Mum has a villa so free accomodation & can get free lifts to and from airports so only food to pay for.
MIL rings up tonight and says 'Oh actually we will come' so instead of 6 days in the sun with OH and J I get 2 days of PIL AND BIL and then 4 days just me and J!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

I don't get what the "you chose to have him" comment was about. He wasn't a mistake or even an accident - he was tried for and they know that because they know about the m/c before Rhys :(

My mother has never looked after my children.. unless it was one of the 3 emergencies I've had (labour at 30 weeks, docs appt with DS2 with a massive chest infection and .. something else I forgot..) I've always been of the opinion these are my children and I had them and therefore look after them..

It was a truly bizarre comment if she just came out with it with no prompting such as 'oh you can watch him while we buzz off here there and everywhere etc'..

I wouldn't let MIL to look after my cat let alone a child! and OH's mum.. it would depend on the circumstances!

I'd rather put my head in a blender than go on holiday with any of them!

THIS IS MY MIL it is a bit loud..

    How's Poppie now, tara? :)

ETA: Nothing definite yet. I don't really know what I want to do.. a bit of a get together for MY family would be nice, don't know if OH's family will bother any. I think my friends would like to see Rhys so might just have a bit of an open house thing with plenty of teabags in and cake on the table ;) Two friends (from the boogie babies bunch) have daughters born on 18th and 22nd May so we're all going to a soft play place on 20th :D

    Any suggestions anyone? :)
