Rhys likes the stairs and was trying to lift his leg to get to the next one but sadly his little legs are just too little for the amount of effort he was able to muster :rotfl: Think we'll have to practise that one! We need some of those prop steps photographers have for practising at home! ;)

I was thinking more from Rhys' health point of view ;) We've been warned lots of times although his kidneys are still improving, there is a high chance they will start getting worse again at some point but no-one knows when that will be. I don't want to book a flight over a year in advance without any backup should he be too ill to go :o It might not come to anything yet - ILs have a timeshare in Tenerife that they've only ever been to twice in 20odd years of having it because they (somehow!) swap their time there with other people in their "club" and go to other places instead - mostly America and Barbados! I know OH would absolutely LOVE to go to Canada too
lol Ed followed Chris to the stairs then cried because he could get up them, I held his hands to walk him back to the lounge but he just kept trying to lift his leg up to the step but was a good 4 inches off :p
I knew what you meant about the insurance:cool:

I'm sure there are plenty of other things that you can find to do which they'll enjoy just as much. I've never been on a ski trip and I don't feel like I've been deprived....
lol I know in the grand scheme its no biggy, I never went on any holidays like that growing up. It's more that if we stick at 2 we could probably still afford it but having a 3rd child would push it too far so I feel like I'm being selfish having a 3rd IYSWIM

    Glam - :p lol I like mfd's new fone too :D

Well I finally have my new pram!! :T:j:j OH was totally fine about it (I didn't tell him what it cost  but he did ask what I was gonna do with the others because no one needs 3 prams apparently :p)

Visit was only a twenty minute affair... She mentioned Canada and was telling us all the things there are to do around where they are thinking of staying, then said "so you could go do something and [OH] can stay with Rhys, or [OH] can do something and you can stay with Rhys but we WILL NOT be babysitting. He's your son, you chose to have him and we're on holiday too". Riiiiiight, well at least we're both in the same frame of mind then cos there's no way I'd let her look after my son for five minutes, let alone a day/evening!

Sami - tell your OH I have 3 prams/puschairs and have no intention with parting with any of them anytime soon just in case.

MFD - I'm watching too, my problem is I've read the book quite a lot so I know that there is a lot missing.

Elle i would have kicked her out the door! she sounds a bit like my mum hence rarely seeing her!
I would tell her you are going to have a family holiday where you can do things with Rhys and not have to leave him out!

Sami is your husband mad??? 3 prams is not a lot :D

Oh yeah, she said "oh there won't be a lot for Rhys to do"... I'll leave him at home then, shall I?! :( OH suggested we could save up for it to the point of them booking the flights then if we decide not to go (he actually said that, rather than something along the lines of if Rhys wasn't well enough) we could always spend what money we do have saved on another holiday closer to home. He does try to excuse a lot of thing she says but I think even he was taken aback by those comments.

I don't get what the "you chose to have him" comment was about. He wasn't a mistake or even an accident - he was tried for and they know that because they know about the m/c before Rhys :(

Anyway, on to brighter things... do you think we need some of these? :D
