Shellie May is still searching so can you help - Still looking for someone living in either berks, bucks, hillingdon, uxbridge or harrow borough who needs a birthday party. 20-30 guests catered for - you must know someone in that area lol!!! They can be between 4 & 8 - if you know someone - get them to contact me. I can't stretch the area any further.
xx
I saw this as well, looks fantastic - shame I don't live anywhere near there... hopefully someone can make use of it.Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Think OH is after something.
Tuesday night is Joes Judo night. So OH and I pass each other at 6pm, him in and left with Alex and me out with Joe. Usually get home around 7.30pm. Were Alex has usually screamed the whole time we've been out.
Got home last night, no sign of Alex in his swing, playmat or jumperoo. He was in bed!. Though he would have been put down still clothed but no OH had done bottle, nappy, sleepsuit and bed. Even remembered the night time cardigan and sleeping bag. Was and still am gobsmacked.
Then this morning got a text saying "sorry if I'm miserable in the mornings, can't help it. I don't know how you do what you do!"
So not totally useless and I do what I do, because I am female and he is a mere man. And no I am never satisfied, but nice to be acknowledged for once0 -

I live no where near and both of mine have already had their bdays...gutted!! :rotfl:
Good luck with DD. We're not at that stage yet with Poppy but I'm sure it will come.
And good luck with the imminent arrival!!

WM How lovely! I might accidently leave your post open later to see if OH takes the hint!
SB The museum is another option, along with Big Art next door, Liv loves it in there. But we haven't done anything that 'cost' this school holidays, so might go and check out the bugs, and will report back.
Gisi I saw that too - terrible. The poor families. I don't know what i'm going to do when OH is on the job properly, I think i'm blanking the 'dangerous job' bit out of my mind for now.
J's hair is now cut - a couple of scratches & burst eardrums, but not too traumatic. Good job my neighbours aren't the caring kind, they'd have thought I was murdering him.
I'd be much easier to do a proper down to the bone cut once a year, but he looks like a hooligan if its too short.(Because I might have accidently left the guard off the clippers once, so I know!
).

This made me smile. When I had my daughter, my husband didn't do much - in fact I remember having been desperate for a bath all day, asking him when he got home from work to keep an eye on the baby for five minutes so I could go and have a quick bath, and he went off on one about how he was relaxing after work and that this was 'his' time.
He got made redundant just before I was due to go back to work, and it made sense at the time for him to become a SAHD for nearly 6 months. The first day I got home from work, he couldn't stop apologising for being carp - and vowed to be much more supportive in future (which he has been)...Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

which brings me on to my problem/question if anyone has any experience of it:
Katie is out of nappies during the day. we still need a nappy for naptime and bedtime. which is usually fine. but the odd time, when she has a poo she likes to put her hand down her nappy to see what is there, then continue to smear it from her hand to wherver she is near.
Yesterday it happened twice. first all over her wall. then her bed, radiator, chest of drawers and then finally took the nappy off.
I realise it may be because she realises it is uncomfortable, but she never calls for us for "yucks" as that is what she calls going to the toilet.
I scolded her after she did it the 2nd time, but wasnt sure what punishment, if any, I should have gave her. She had already been put to bed for her nap, which never happened due to the 2 mishaps....

GISI - I thought of you this morning too when I read it and wondered if your OH was attending. Not sure why, I am sure they have lots of cops in Hampshire!
I just brushed Holly's teeth for the first time.
She is in her car seat and we were just about to leave for Asda, but by the look on her face, I think that trip will be postponed for 10 mins. She has been struggling to poo all day as she has been eating more solids. Think that problem is now solved!
Csh - where do you keep your car seat? Would that me an option for short 5 min bursts?
I went to Rome in May and got badly sunburned! We were doing a tour of the Colloseum but the guy talked for so long on the grass outside where there was no shade that my head got burned. I loved Rome though and had no problems with pickpockets etc. I found it easier to get a reasonably nice central hotel for a good price than I did when i went to Paris. We ended up in a crappy area in Paris. I wouldn't go later than May due to the heat, and I think in July it shuts down as the Italians all go to the coast for their holidays.0 -
Thanks everyone. I am owed though as he deserted us at Easter to go to some stupid Boxing match in Manchester (that he managed to loose his ticket to - but i'm not going there).
Thing is both boys were lovely and well behaved (bar one argument with Joe) all Saturday and Sunday. Both in bed early, I got to watch New Moon on DVD, and Alex only did one quick wake up on both nights. So it was not a chore being on my own and things seemed to go more smoothly and without any stress. Now if I could only work out how to pay the mortgage and bills by myself I'd be all set.
