I have now not been BF for 5 days, nothing to report on my boobies, they appear not to have noticed!! When can I go and be measured for a new bra? I don't think I have changed that much but would like to check (and to have the excuse to buy new bras ;) )
I've been wondering how long the milk takes to disappear - it's almost a month since Alice actually fed (and it was two weeks before that) but I still have milk.

I keep meaning to ask (although it's totally unrelated to parenting or money saving) what one can do with unwanted earrings? Do charity shops take them? I was given some for my birthday but not having pierced ears I don't know anything about them.

If I had another I would definitely introduce a bottle by 6 weeks, or as soon as BF is well established, to prevent problems. Loads of my RL mummy friends have babies who won't take a bottle at all.

Isla took a bottle fine until she was 6 weeks old then point blank refused. I'd introduced it early as I'd read so much about babies refusing them that I thought I'd get in early and hope for the best rather than wait and then she wouldn't take it. We've tried several different types of bottle and at all stages of hunger, OH putting my t-shirt on etc but they all just caused screaming tantrums until last night.

Why don't you use your MIL being there to do the housework (in another part of the house of course!!!)

MIL smells of smoke and Isla screams blue murder when she holds her because she doesn't like it :o Can't blame Isla really, it reeks!

Not too sure how long you need to wait but I'm glad to hear boobies haven't been sore. Had Benjamin cut down gradually himself anyway?

Oh I missed Alice stopping. Does that mean you are planning number 2 ;):D

How do you know you still have milk?

I dunno, I thought I would struggle with changes but nothing *shrugs*

Edit - Boo - ah, would Isla sit in a bouncer and be bounced by MIL maybe?

Yup - Benjamin was only feeding once a day in the morning, sometimes both sides but mostly just 1 side. It had been ages since he fed from me during the day (I went back to work 3 days a week in November and we stopped daytime feeds then). I can't remember the last time my boobs felt full.
He did spend ages staring at my boob in the bath the other night and then came closer so I quickly distracted him!!

Caz, are you around? I just got my Parcelbee Paypal dispute settled in my favour and they say they're going to refund my money.

Susan, I don't know, I'm not sure if there are restrictions in charity shops but regular shops won't return earrings. Are they pretty and could you maybe hoard them for regifting?

My milk was gone within a few days of stopping BF with Amber, tbh it was going anyway. Was a few weeks with the boys (but I stopped at 1-2weeks). My friend still has milk now, she stopped at 6 months and her little girl is 3!

    Morning everyone :)

Lily gave me two big open mouth smiles today, soo cute! She made a cute gurgly noise alongside them to :D
Cant believe she's 4 weeks old tomorrow!

Well i tried on my wedding dress, its great! The skirt is a bit to big but as it tucks up under the corset it gets a bit tighter. So i might get it taken it a bit :)

I've decided not to have a veil, just a tiara. Need to go to the docs though, just before i got pregnant i got a load of spots on my back. And since she's been born they have gotten alot worse and they hurt! And i want them gone before the wedding.
Im hoping the doc can give me a magic anti acne pill or something :rotfl::o

I need to go to the library today, its lovely and sunny so i might put Lily in her sundress & show her off to people at work :D

We have a similar situation with Finn...he would take bottles until he was around 8 weeks-ish old then for some reason I cannot remember we wound up not giving him one for about a week and then when I tried again, he point-blank has refused there on out. If I try and give it when he's hungry, he screams the house down. If I try and give it when he's only a tiny bit hungry he just lets it sit in his mouth and totally ignores its presence. Hadn't thought of the t-shirt idea, thanks!! Isla has me hopefuly we'll also turn a corner one day. Such contrary children we have! ;)

Stooooooooooopid Expedia are still holding my money, wahhhhh. It's their loss really as as soon as it's back in my account I'm just going to book tickets with them! *rolleyes* I mean, I'm sure it's been refunded from their end but these stupid banking things take time and it's being verrrry slow with winding its way back to my account.

Didn't get that far into it, she does have to always wear a padded bra though! :rotfl: She went to the GP and he said that some women just continue to lactate. Even though she didn't have that problem after her first.
