When do you stop sterilising bottles? I know "they" say you should have them off them by a year [not a dig at all, MDW, you just reminded me!
] but if they still have them after that, do you have to sterilise them until they use them no more or just wash in hot soapy water after a year? *confused*
i stopped sterilising Christophers about 2-3 weeks ago and he was 8 months today. omg.
I agree. Christopher particularly seemed rather fond of Katie's dirty wellies today......I think you can stop sterilising everything at 6mths. Not overly sure but by then their shoving any old !!!!!! into their mouths so seems pointless to sterilise
here here. I did it for Katie for approximately a week....I knew better with Christopher; they get washed in the dishwasher.My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »I can't believe that you are still sterilising his eating stuff!!! I gave you a week!!! I do dummies every so often but that is it other than bottles.
That doesnt make me a scummy mummy, does it!?
Hi! I dont have the pateience to read back, bar the past couple pages. I tink the penpal idea is great; Katie a little bit too young just yet though. I used to have a penpal when i was younger and really enjoyed it. Still have the letters somewhere....
Has everyone had a lovely easter!? Has everyone been eating too much chocolate!? I knwo i have. Sod SW for this week. lol
Whats happeneing tonight!? Im a bit bored; invited my sisters & in-laws over, and 2 sets of friends, and no1 wants us. so now im banished to the lappy while Robbie plays his ps3! fun.

oh forgot about this!Arghhhhh, so Sami, what Java update was it?
It was an auto update thingy *shrug*
tis correct 'they' reckon you should introduce a cup at 6mths therefore should be off bottles by 12mths. Its to do with teeth IIRCMaybe I'm wrong then... I thought I'd read it on here (not that that's any guarantee it's right either, obviously!)
Chris had his last bottle of milk at 2yrs 3mths, the way I see it is it's no different from a BF baby still having at BF before bed0 -

That was a typo and is supposed to read 'aren't sterilised' I think I managed 4 days! lol!!! :rotfl:
I am so proud of his eating at the moment, he has finally realised how to eat the part of the food he is holding (he used to bite down to his fist and then drop whatever was in his hand) but now he opens his fist and puts the food in. He has had lamb and beef today and chewed like a pro
Alongside his 3 meals a day, he has 240ml (8oz) in the morning, 240ml in the afternoon and 180ml (6oz) before bed and probably 2 beakers full of water. He loves it and is always shouting for water.
Explains the very full nappies we also have!
SS - remind me to watch that video tomorrow. My sound is playing up on lappy and wanna make most of it!
