Afternoon all... we had a fabby afternoon at the zoo - only saw a bit of it, as Izzy and her friend wanted to walk all the time!

On the subject of safety stuff, I'm relatively relaxed compared to DH, who completely overreacts about everything. But then he still manages to leave dangerous things around the place. Sometimes it feels like it is just another excuse to swear at me.

I try not to leave anything on the floor, partly because I always have to clear it up and it's easier to clean as I go but also and mostly because I hate picking stuff up when it is encrusted in baby dribble. I'm happy for her to chew on whatever's handy so long as it won't poison her or perforate her face.

Anyway, I am currently resolved not to turn into my mother and say, Hey, that bothers me, rather than sit and simmer over it. So while sharp objects will no doubt end up on the floor again we now have a healthier way of dealing with them. The next task is a joint one: we are a household of potty mouths and I do not want my baby learning some of the words we use. The new vocabulary uses "really" instead of f*** and tuesday instead of c***. Slipups keep happening so we need some sort of penalty code, I think, because we both keep forgetting.

i think there are things babies/toddlers need to experience to learm not to do them (if that makes sense?)

but i'm not going to pinch or bite K when he does it to me so he learns its sore. (some peeps do it from when baby is few months old)

Well I didn't just watch Maddy get to the second stair.

And she just crawled over to the sofa, got on her knees and actually got up and stood, eeek, I'm not ready........was because the remote was there.

    Yay - go Maddy!!!

Had to wake the baby up at 5.20 after nearly 2 hours. He is still tired and grouchy and 'crying' at everything...methinks an early bath and back to bed is in order.

    Yay Maddy!

People never cease to amaze me, the cheeky things they ask for.

Ooooh, I'm using my noise-reduction headphones and they look ridiculous, like they're broken so I thought they'd probably be crap - but OH has apparently been chatting away to me and I didn't hear a thing. Who'd have thunk?!

I'm thinking of buying a Wii and Wii Fit board thingy. Are they good, and is £130 a good price for both (on eBay)?
