My son doesn;t believe there is a baby in my tummy because he thinks you buy them in the shop and won't listern to my version.
How young?
My two are 9 and 7. We're looking at the pictures and text in the baby development section on www.babycentre.co.uk They both enjoy the pages on there. Here I go again on my own....0 -

My son is 4 and a half. I like to get a storybook or something we could share0 -
Had a quick look on Amazon and this one looks really good:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Waiting-Baby-All-Day-S/dp/0859539733/ref=pd_sbs_b_1/202-1310090-3738206?ie=UTF8
There's links to other books about babies on there too. Here I go again on my own....0 -
well it is the first day of my materninty leave, with 3 and a half weeks to go.
I think today i will pop and get the last couple of bits i need from mothercare. I need a baby monitor, and i know it isn't the cheapest shop but we have a reward credit card and had saved up enough points for £70 of vouchers, so that should mean i can get the one i really want.
my husband is on red alert. I rang him yesterday and he answered within 2 rings. I could hear his boss in the background, and he offered us a bonus if we could wait till after xmas. Very MSE if i could manage it. I said if he could get the baby to agree we'd be up for it. :rotfl:
just counting down the days and keeping up with the housework to keep me occupied now. Guess i will be on here an awful lot.

Hmmm...suspecting my emotions might be a bit all over the place. Just watched X-factor bootcamp and tears kept coming when the judges were giving their decisions, even though Ididn't actually care about most of the people on there!0

Re cars. We have a skoda fabia. It's a 5 door and surprisingly roomy for a supermini. There is isofix for the car seats, it's a really reliable runner and very economical. And they are astonishly cheap for such a great car.
We had our scan last week. It's a boy!May all your dots fall silently to the ground.0 -
Congrats on your little boy Gingham, we have our scan in ten days but not planning on finding out at the moment.0

Hi :-)
Please add me to the list EDD 3rd April 2007 and really excited!
I am having a rocky exit out of the feeling DREADFUL for weeks stage. Nevermind... I will be back to my bouncy self in no time at all.
For the record, I too have been a huge fan of mashed potato. Thank god for the prepared kind because there was no way I could stay in the kitchen long enough to make it properly! :-)
worto03 mentioned (a couple of pages ago) that his baby id due on April 3rd 2007, "just in time for the new maternity laws"...
What new maternity laws???
Any pointers will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.Bargain Babe-a-Licious!

If your due date is 1st April 07 or later, you get 9 months paid maternity leave rather than 6 months. :j
That's for SMP/MA, but check with your employer as they may pay you extra. Here I go again on my own....0
