Yes my baby is breech. I have a scan to on the 10th of April to confirm it's position and to do a ECV but I've posted on other chat rooms and people that have had them advised against them.
I'm praying this baby turns itself by the 10th.
Hi there, no experience Im afraid but just to say Im in the same boat and my midwifes suggested that it was unlikely that the doctor would try. Apparently some will and some wont but it seems to be tried less frequently than it used to be. I also have spd ans she said that it may cause me some pain to try and turn it. Baby went brecch at 32 weeks and stayed that way for a fortnight. It then went transverse for a furthur 2 weeks and then turned the right way up last week 36. However I think it turned again last night (Im 37 weeks now) and has gone breech. I also have an appointment on 10th April and they said they will check then and if its still breech will book me in for a section at 39weeks. I was really worried about the thought of a section but have now decided that Im not that bothered as long as baby's fine, thats all that really matters. You must be 36 weeks now so there is still time for baby to turn, try not to worry too much and keep your fingers crossed.
Good luck0 -
Well I had my confirmation appointment at the Dr this morning.
Had a couple of forms to fill in, and got given a few booklets etc, but that seems it, so the excitement is over for the week.
Suppose, just have to wait for the MW to contact me, and with it being a 4 day week, this week and next, I might not hear anything until next week.
It is going to be a long 7 months (but then I knew this, which is why I delayed this appointment until now).0 -
I have managed to miss my midwife app...oops it was last mon ..and i am due on the 9th of april..
I phoned docs today when i realised..as i thought it was today amd midwife is on holiday an the only doc that does antenatal appointments is booked out all week..recepetionist v.unhelpful even if it is my own fault!!
Im not sure if i need to be seen this week or not..
baby has been head down for 6 weeks and all other tests ie blood pressure ect ect have always been fine..
im just a bit worried so close to due date that i need to be seen..i have an appointment booked in for the 10th which is just in case baby hasnt arrived!
what should i do..?0 -
If your concerned call the hospital your booked into and see if they have any free appointments in there antenatal clinic this week.
If not I'd wait till the 10th if I had no concerns. You never know the baby may surprise you before then and put in an appearance.0 -
Baby Oscar arrived on March 22nd and weighed 7lb 5.5
C-section delivery in the end as I wasn't ready to be induced but the SPD had become unbearable. The good news is I am now off crutches and only have niggly discomfort when I over do it.0 -

Congratulations on Oscar:T . If you haven't already, consider taking some arnica tablets - I'm convinced they help me recover from my C section relatively quickly. The IVF worked;DS born 2006.0 -

I've been looking at natural ways of birthing, and there are a few suggestions that may help. You can try reflexology and relaxation, I know it sounds hippy-ish but visualisation can really help. I would also recommend getting hold of an excercise ball and sitting on it doing small bounces - I have SPD and this has really helped.... maybe worth a try if you want to avoid c-section.0 -
