I've started dreaming that the baby's been born. I really wish I was far enough for it to be born so I can stop being ill. I just started being sick again last week (30 weeks) having never actually stopped feeling sick.

I also have to go back for another glucose tolerance test in two weeks because apparently one of my results was slightly higher than normal. I tried to discuss the test with my midwife today as the leaflet I was sent telling me about a "reduced sugar" diet I should "start" following is already my normal diet so I'm not sure whether there's any point in another test but she was running late and didn't explain anything.

Now is it just me or does that feel different? When I needed the loo I would get a certain sensation, now it's just a sharp pain. Nothing serious but really different to normal.

When did you ladies start growing? I'm what, 8+5, and yesterday hubby commented how big my belly was. I just laughed it off, saying it's just bloating, knowing it would have come down by morning. But it hasn't. I'm a large girl anyway but today I can hardly bend over! Water retention?

If you're getting pain when going for a wee, see your GP. You may have a water infection. Perfectly treatable, but serious if left untreated. If you have a midwife, she should take a urine sample to check, ifnot your GP should do it.

yes it's different, I wouldn't describe it as a pain but it's not just the feeling of oh my bladder's full. I never used to need to get up to pee in the night and could quite easily turn over and go back to sleep even if I woke up thinking I could do with a wee but now if I wake up I know I have to go even if I don't feel it's urgent.

I'm only really beginining to show now at 14 weeks but it really does vary and I've lost weight rather than put any on so I'm probably not a good guide :rolleyes:

Oh I remember that pain. Had it once, never again - well probably would get it treated before it started to bleed - I thought I was dying!

That's not the pain I meant, more of a somethings pressing on something it shouldn't.

Becles, you CAN refuse the blood tests if you want, it's your body and your baby. I know you probably wont want to refuse them, because it IS a good idea to have them if possible, but somehow knowing I CAN refuse if I want to helps me get through them (I have difficult to find veins too). I've got to have mine done next Wednesday.....really looking forward to that! (not)

I'm in shock following my consultant appointment early - he's strongly recommended I have a planned caesarean, not because of my SPD but because of the underlying hip problems I've had since childhood. I really wasn't expecting this and are now worried about how long it will take to recover after the op. They've said it will be a 3 day stay post section, I had my heart set on getting out as soon as possible after a vaginal delivery.
