someone said to me your not suppose to eat honey whilst pregnant.
Is this true? I've never heard this before.

I don't know about due date yet emma_b but dating scan is on 2nd March. By my dates would be 11th sept but last scan a couple of weeks ago suggested the 9th! It is going to be a long 7 months waiting to meet my lo!

Not sure about honey india. I ate it in my first preg with no problems. Munched my way through a full box of honey nut cornflakes before clicking on the word "nut" meant peanut and stressing about that! doh. I do vaguely remember someone saying young babies shouldn't eat honey could that be it?

Brilliant news. I'm so pleased for you :j

For reference, you need to drink a pint of water just before every scan, otherwise your empty bladder can flop in front of baby and you can't see him/her properly! Make sure you know where the loo is for after the scan

rachel, you have told me that b4, i remember now doh i must have preggy brain LOL!! have you any "showing "signs yet? my belly seems massive its got hard at the bottom too. dont know if bloating or starting with the popped out belly ? usually a flat tummy (okay not washboard but not like it is at mo either!!)
we will be due the same week then wont we........heres to a long and boring pregnancy from now on for us both (and every1 else in the MSE preg club!)

Boring???? Wait till the kicking starts. I get a thrill everytime I feel mine wriggle around in there, although I must admit the uncomfortable "feet in my lungs" position gets a bit tiresome

My dh just says I look fat and I have put on a lot of weight. What a sweetie eh?! :rolleyes: Just my tummy mainly though, not that I'm eating more with feeling sick from dawn to dusk....just lazing about too much I think!!! Outgrown my regular jeans though maternity stuff too big.........

Here's to boring - no more drama, stress or worry....can't wait till I can feel the lo move and kick Becles....I suppose that will be a while yet as I'm just 11+2?

Finally got my booking in appointment tomorrow. At least I won't blub all over the mw this time

Becles - when I booked my scan I got a leaflet stating that I don't need to drink before any of these scans. Hmmm. However I was never that good at filling up my bladder... so I'll just do what I can, just in case!

I don't know about honey - I've been drinking honey lemon teas. As for Honey Nut cornflakes, they're my staple breakfast, never noticed the nuts either!

I've been reading 'what to expect...' and eventually understood that it's an american book, I don't need to find blackeyed (?) molasses or corn tortillas! Also the diet section goes on and on about the vitamins in nuts and liver, so I'm not listening to it and got back to my diet of junk food and chocolate.
