If it's any consolation, my eldest arrived at 36 weeks without warning so he never had steriods and he was fine. He was just very skinny - and 10 years later he still is!

The youngest arrived at 37 weeks - again no steroids and he was fine. He looked better as he had a bit of fat on him, so he looked more rounded than his brother!

Both were normal births with no complications to me or the babies.

I read in a pregnancy book that if a baby is born before 36 weeks they are premature. If there born between 36-40 weeks they are classed as
full time and if they born after 40 weeks they are post-term.

I recently found out that I'm not entilted to the sure start maternity grant because I'm not on the higher rate WFTC.

I've started a petition to the prime minister stating I think the grant should be avaliable too all mother regardless of earning because have a baby is expensive.

I've read a few post on this website and think there are a few people that will agree with me.

Could you not apply after the baby is born when you'll be getting child tax credit as well? You will be eligable for the sure start grant any time up til the baby is 3 months old if you get child tax credit of more than £545 a year.

Just wanted to say very may congratulations on the scan results Emma, I've been on tenterhooks all week so I'm eally very chuffed for you! (Oh and congrats to everyone else on the list as well, frankly there's too many to do it individually!)

My friend's baby is due in a few weeks and I can't wait for her to hurry up and have it: the sympathy pregnancy is driving me up the wall! (I'm not even kidding I've had every symptom she's had, I've even had bloody contractions! Obviously they're not as bad as actually being pregnant but it's a bit galling when I'm not!)

She goes off within about 5 minutes of sitting in it In true mse style, I told them where to get it from to get the best deal available and found a rather bargainous graco travel lite one from kiddicare. We got the soprano design fabric which is still same price as before of £39.99 but I see the other fabric is only £26.97 which is a huge saving on the rrp £69.99. Didn't have a swing for DD1 and now wish I'd had it first time round.

Also, my other great buy this time round that wish I'd had last time is this bath support. It makes bathing your newborn such a doddle and they enjoy their bath so much more as they can relax and kick and splash. Totally and utterly recommend.
