Raspberry leaf tea is supposed to help get things started (you're not supposed to drink it at all until the last few weeks of pregnancy for this reason), also going for a walk. About the sex thing - apparently it's a hormone in the bloke's semen that helps start labour - the only thing is, it's more effective if taken....um...orally! (Don't tell the men!!)

I haven't been around much, so trying to catch up!!!

Claire Jones....I had a MC in October as well.....a roller coaster ride for us both I suppose!! I have reached 6 weeks now, which is further than last time....not much, but still a milestone!!!

Just wanted to update you on a bargain. My midwife recommended an in-ear thermometer rather than the stick-on-forehead kind and Lloyds Pharmacy are doing Nurofen ones at £9.99 reduced from £19.99 until Boxing Day. :money:

I went this morning and they had plenty left at my local store, so not sure if the offer will be extended, but midwife said it would be the kind of thing that would get used repeatedly over the years and is way more accurate than a stick on one.

Thanks for all the ideas. I did know about Raspberry leaf tea, but it's a beggar to find if you don't have a local Holland & Barrett. I'll try the pineapple one as I do love it - have been drinking pineapple juice every morning, but perhaps I need the real thing. Will send hubby out for some later. Have tried curry, gin and bedroom gymnastics so far, but no luck. Might get desperate and think about those oral hormones Snaggles!
