I am not sure whether it might be the time of year which won't be helping your eBay sales. I sent to the car boot yesterday and it was absolutely tiny, hardly anyone there, but it is the peak of the holiday season
so I think that would have the same effect on the eBay sales.
I am persisting with washing and not using the tumble dryer but with the weather it is clogging up the conservatory on the clothes horseJust keep swimming!0 -
Morning diary, just been glued to the TV this morning absolutely shocked by what is happening in London! Shocked is all I can say, hope it doesnt spread near me!
CwC, I love Gino too!!! Hes amazing haha!! The chicken thing he cooked looked lovely so will be recreating that in mummytogirls kitchen! Ive got it on series link so will catch up as and when.
Itsa, thanks for the info on ebay and car boot sales, you might be right thinking about now.
Well my washing didnt do too bad but it was a bit too cold to fully dry so its back out this morning with the other load.
Dont think ive anything else to report! Catch up soon xxMummytogirls x0 -
Wow mummy, you are very dedicated! Pegging out washing at 7pm then taking it back in to peg it back out the following day. I am far too much of a lazy moo to do that
In my defence, I would have to lug it down two flights of stairs, then back up two flights, then back down two flights, then back up again if it was me
I am willing to pay the extra to tumble the stuff.
Where are you going for your tesco voucher day out?

You are well organised and good for sorting your washing in and out at the time of night
Sometimes if I know its going to be nice all night and in the morning I peg it out at night and leave it over night to dry in the morning and its normally dry in time for the next load to be hung out! But at the moe its always to risky
Its nice today though so ive got it on the line drying

Evening diary,
Mr A have just been with my shopping. £43.73 so not too bad and they didnt forget anything this week :T. Although I do miss the thought of no extra evouchers :rotfl:!!!
Just added this to my signature and it means I now have just over £32 to last. The shopping ive had delivered today takes me meal plan wise up to the 16th. Im sure I can last the next 9 days after that on £32! Cheap meals consisting of pasta probably!! Plus ive got a portion of lasagne banked and the beef for a steak bake so thats 1.5 meals there. Got 9 sausages aswell so that will make another meal and I can also use a few sausages to make the kids sausage rolls with the left over pastry from the steak bake. So all in all 2.5 meals banked plus a few lunches for the kids.. sorted!
My washing dried today so need to sort that out in a mo. My cucumber is coming along fab need to leave it a bit longer before picking it though.
Gap, I dont blame you not lugging all the washing up and down the stairs, I doubt I would either!
Mummy, glad you got some washing dry today, I did too.
Right catch up soon xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi Mummy
You're doing really well with your challenge, I think I have about £25 left but my freezer is still bursting and then we go away at the end of next week. I'm planning on only buying milk, bread, fruit, veg and cereal bars tomorrow. I've also got a voucher for Mr S, buy 7 items of fruit/veg and get £1 off so it should be fine.
I think ebay is probably slow becuase of hols as well, I have loads of stuff to go on but I'll keep it until September and then have a blitz x0 -
I bet you will be fine with your challenge
Your sounding so organised

Good Morning Diary,
Feeling a bit flat in MTG's house today, I really dont know where to turn to be honest infact theres nothing really I can do...
DH took a new job in March as after he found out about the debt etc he wanted to bring more money in. This job was more money (not loads but more all the same) with promise of full training, bonus and progression. It turns out none of this has come true and he absolutely hates it there. They sound like a right bunch of w@nkers (sorry!) that hes working with and it makes me so cross and upset that because of this debt situation he made a wrong decision. Whereas if he didnt have all this on his shoulders he would have carried on in his previous company no there wasnt much room for progression there in the near future but he was happy and it paid the bills. He has had no training, they havent got the time of day for him and when he asks a question obviously because hes unsure and doesnt want to make a mistake he gets awful remarks about well you are in this profession you should know! I might just add that the profession he is in has various different strands etc.
I have never seen DH so stressed out, he is constantly shouting at the kids, yes most of the time they are out of line but he has no patience with them at all and even said this morning hes not being a very nice daddy at the moment.
I dont want to complain too much as I know in this climate he should be happy to have a job, but I just feel so bad for him. Plus I cant confide in people because no-one knows the money situation.
Anyway, nothing too exciting happening on the money front. 2 weeks tomorrow til payday cant believe how that has flown tbh.
Ive done a quick 20 mins ironing this morning so thats all up to date now.
The lady came and paid cash for the pram last night so thats to go in the girls winter wardrobe fund. I have already spent some of it on some jeans for DD1 off ebay. £3.49 incl postage for a pair of Jasper Conran jeans and they look hardly worn. Poor !!!!!! will have paid how much for those in Debenhams!
So im going to keep a look out on ebay for more bargains like this as if I can kit them out this way it will be great!! Especially if everything looks brand new aswell!!
Righty ho, best get on xx

Oh hun, sorry don't have any advice regarding OH and job but wanted to send you hugs and let you know i'm thinking of you.
Well done on the bargain jeans, i think childrens clothes have got really expensive, my DS tends to live in cheap jogging bottoms as he is really hard wearing on his clothes (typical boy).0 -
Hi MTG
Sorry to hear your DH is not happy.
My only advice would be to see if he can go back to his old company or if they have no vacancies can he start looking for a new job as then he will feel that he is being proactive.
In my opinion extra money is no substitute for happiness.
My DH suffers from depression and every time work has got bad he has been signed off sick for months when really I would have preferred it if he could have told me and we could have worked through it together. Although each time he has left a job due to stress/depression he has always managed to find a much better job in terms of hours and pay.
Hope you can work through this together.
