    Morning Diary,

Still 50p away from the pureprofile payout ! Ive just checked and theres no surveys so will check back later on.
Also checked Toluna and Quidco, still nothing from them either!
Desperate for the L2shop voucher so I can go buy DD1 some new pj's as shes desperate for them with the weather coming more chilly.

Pegged out today and the BBC says no rain til 10pm so fingers crossed! I was thinking this morning I dont think we are going to get much sun now but as long as it stays dry so I can peg out, il be happy with that!

    8 days til payday :T.

Yesterday I got all my ironing up to date, I find doing it twice a week if possible keeps it at bay. Also cleaned the bathrooms too!

Tonights job is to sort DD2 wardrobe out. DH put her in a pair of 18-24, trousers the other day and it wasnt until I got to my mums I realised how short they were :rotfl:!! She also had a 18-24m hoody on that was half way up her arms... men!! So ive looked through DD1's old bits and found her some new tops which are 3-4 but dont look overly big actually. So I need to go through get rid of all the old. I know theres a few dresses from next in there which I will ebay and then move DD1's old 3-4 stuff in there. The trousers wont fit but the tops will.

Right think thats about all from me. Ive brought left over bolognaise for todays lunch and got the chicken out for fahitas tonight.

    Catch up soon xx

 I have just totted up my grocery spends and I am over spent by £18!! I will also need a small top up shop next week for milk, bread and fruit. So in order to sort this out I will knock what ever the over spend is off next months total in a hope to level it out..

    Hi Mummy,
How old are your DD's? My little girl is in aged 3-4 trousers and dresses and she isn't 3 yet, she has been in them since the beginning of summer. Its the bottoms of her legs that have grown as cropped trousers still fit for some reason.

Don't worry about your grocery overspend, it'll be a nice little challenge to better it next month. Have you tried Aldi for your milk? Its only £1, they also do really cheap fruit and Hovis bread.

    Hi Livvy,

My DD's are 4 (nearly 5 but in age 6 clothes) and 2 (who is quite diddy and her 2-3 trousers are way too long!).
DD1 has always been in the sizes above, she is so tall!
DD2 has always tended to be in sizes smaller than her age although I think she is catching up a bit now. The hoody I tried on her this morning didnt look too big on her tbh but I could never get away with the next size up trousers. Shes got a really skinny waist too so I have to get the bottoms with the adjustable waistbands!

Re Aldi, I have been in there the odd time but I just cant seem to get along with it! Plus I have to drive past about 3 other supermarkets to get there. Farmfoods also have good offers on bread and milk but its next door to Aldi so same issue. If I had a big chest freezer I could buy loads in bulk and freeze but unfortunately I dont xx

Hi Gap, I had those on a pair of maternity trousers which were a god send!!

Well I have just been super geeky working out the cost of bread thanks to Livvy loo flagging up about hovis bread this morning!!
This is the bread I buy so thought id do some calculations.

If I go to farmfoods I can get 2 loaves of Hovis for £1.50, this offer always seems to be on.
I dont often get to farmfoods as its in town so I usually buy from the supermarket at £1.15 a loaf. So I usually buy say 14 (ish) loaves a month, which over the year costs me £75.60 more from the supermarket .

I am definately going to start going there more often!!! xx

Aw glad I could be of help, I think Aldi's Hovis is 75p so the same as Farm Foods, don't quote me on that tho but it rings a bell. They do Hovis crumpets too which I get for DD and freeze. I have a chest freezer, it was given to us so didn't pay for it. You can get cheap ones on clearance Comet, my friend got a really cheap oven because it had a mark on the back. That could save you a fortune.

My DD is very skinny too, so leggings are good and trousers and skirts with adjustable waist bands, her skirts always end up back to front ha ha.

    Good Afternoon dairy!

Nothing much to report just popping in for my daily rant :D!! Payday next Friday woohoo!!

Ooohhh thanks for that link Livvyloo, ive not heard of comet doing that before. Once I get some money to one side I might just have a little bid on there!!
I did have a look on freecycle yesterday but theres none in my area.

No payouts from pureprofile, quidco or toluna . Getting sick of looking now!

Oh I sorted through DD2's wardrobe last night and threw out some of her stuff and kept some for Ebay which il put on this weekend, probably Sunday. Ive moved most of the next size up tops and dresses over from the drawers in the spare room to her wardrobe now. Its absolutely brimming so she will only need the odd new thing for parties or meals out. I have never so many pj's in 2-3 god knows what I was thinking, im sure ive got more in her drawers than Tescos have :rotfl:!!

DD1's wardrobe in the other hand is a sorry sight! Shes got hardly anything but to be honest she starts school in September full time anyway so she will be in uniform 5 days out of 7.
Im going to get her some more long sleeved tops and some trousers maybe cheap jogging bottoms to tide her over.
She desperately needs pj's so that will be what I buy her first. Shes been wearing shortie pj's with it being warm but now its becoming more chilly id like to get her some pull length ones probably in 6-7 .

Right think thats about all from me! Catch up soon, have a lovely weekend all xx

  • I remember when DD was about 18 months old she was having a right growth spurt and I had some baby grows for her to sleep in that she had never even worn, I cut the feet off them :o She got at least another month or two out of them :p

I am so lucky, my MIL buys DD so many clothes, I have hardly bought her anything for a few years now.

She is very very sure about clothes and what she likes to wear and what she doesn't considering she is only 6.5 years old.
    Just keep swimming!
