Morning diary, nothing too exciting to report from here! Doing absolutely nothing today as I go back to work tomorrow. DD wasnt happy when I just told her we were not doing anything today, weve had tears and we never do anything . I quickly pointed out that in the past week weve been to McDonalds, the park with a picnic and had ice creams, friends houses for lunch and swimming and then last night we had our movie night with treats and pizza. That sounds like a lot of kiddy stuff to me, but as usual its not good enough for her!
Spoilt brat springs to mind !
So the plan for today is roast beef and trimmings for tea, cant wait and so glad I planned it as the weather is looks wintry out there today. Get the rest of my ironing done and clean the bathrooms. Then this evening I will hoover and polish so its nice and clean for going back to work tomorrow.
No washing to do today either which is good as theres no chance of pegging out.
Oh and my pram will sell on ebay today :T. Il be back later to update on that! Catch up soon xxMummytogirls x0 -
Evening diary,
very disappointed to say my pram only sold for £20 , my baby monitor sold for more. Heyho never mind its still better than nothing.
Well not a very busy hour hoovering, polishing, bleaching bathrooms etc! Had roast beef for tea which was absolutely delicious, also managed to save enough for a steak bake too :T.
Kids have just gone up to bed and ive had my shower and got their clothes ready for tomorrow.
So back to work tomorrow, quite looking forward to getting back into the normal routine.

Hi,
Aw, Im sorry to hear about the pushchair, still it is £20...better in your pocket! I was dissapointed with my sales this week too (£25), I think after the £80 start I got a bit over excited but now I am realising selling all DD clothes is going to take a long time. I have relisted some of the items that didn't sell 2 weeks ago so at least I don't have to iron it all and start the listings from scratch.
I think its good to go back to work to keep you sane, a bit of normal conversation instead of talking about Peppa Pig all day. I sometimes feel I go to work for a rest ha ha. Hope you enjoy it.

Aw sorry you didn't get a bit more for your pram! Thats a shame
Know what you mean about your DD wanting to do "stuff", sometimes the more you do with them, the more they want to do!
We have a busy week this week, so will be up at normal (school) time as DD has childminder 2 mornings and we have bits and pieces on too. I'm going to dread work again after 11 months maternity leave, but needs must! I keep telling myself that I can treat the kids and buy them nice things, have little savings accounts for them - which I couldn't if I didn't work.
Don't work too hard, and enjoy normality tomorrow!

Sorry to here that your pram didn't go for more, but at least it sold and you have the cash to throw at something.
Can you do some bits with DD at home, maybe have a baking morning, or a craft morning, think i have mentioned before that collect boxes, ribbons, toilet roll tubes etc and buy cheap glue and glitter and stuff from pound shop and then on a nice day i put out an old blanket outside and let my 2 loose with it all, they can make as much mess as they like cos its all outside, another one is to buy a roll of cheap wallpaper from charity shop, roll it out along the length of the garden plain side up so its about 8 feet long, hold in place with tins of beans so it doesn't blow away and let them loose with the paints, just make sure you put them in old clothes and have a bucket of soapy water handy so they don't go runnng in the house covered in paint.
Have a good day.0 -
Morning Diary,
Just popping in for a quick catch up before work.
The lady emailed late last night about collecting the pram but unfortunately im at work so she will have to come another day or evening.
The weather is very grey here yet again and im sat here in my winter clothes!! Its supposed to rain today so ive held off on the washing. I have sorted out 2 loads to get washed tonight ready for tomorrow as it looks brighter on the forecast for tomorrow.
Livvyloo, sorry your sales didnt do too well either. Fingers crossed for better sales next week.
CwC, I think the same too about the more you do with the kids the more they expect.
When will you return to work?
Pennywise, thanks for your ideas on crafts etc. We do have stuff like that here but they seem to want to jump quickly from one thing to another with them being quite young! I will remember those things for next weekend though even if it just passes an hour.
Dont think ive anything else to report! Catch up soon xx

Ooh thats a great idea about the roll of wallpaper pennywise, I think I might have to try that next time its a nice day!! I also love your username btw!
I'm due back to work around the end of October/start of November mummytogirls, dreading it to be honest but need the pennies! I have a meeting on Wednesday to discuss hours and exactly what I'll be doing.
We have absolute pouring rain here today so I've not tackled the washing yet lol. Will maybe do one load and get it on the clothes horse.... days like these make me wish I had a tumble dryer!0 -
Evening diary,
Well ive done my 2 jobs for tonight which were:
- Converting my Tesco vouchers for a day out
- Amending my shop due tomorrow
Gonna get the kids to bed in a mo and then watch Gino and Mel that I sky +'d!
Ive got 1 load of washing in which im thinking I might peg out for a bit if it ends soon as its blowing a right gale out there!! I reckon I could get it half dry tonight if I do. Hurry up washer!!!
CwC, my job share comes back November time too which means my wage will drop. But I was expecting it and the full time wage has been a bonus.
Im sure you will be fine once you get back into the swing. Organisation is my key for working with 2 small children in tow.
Right I think my washers just about stopped so best get it pegged out! Catch up soon xxMummytogirls x0 -
Wow it is sooo chilly outside tonight! Just pegged out and I was thinking to myself as I was doing it I must be dedicated stood out here pegging out in this!!
Luckily our house is not cold at all, so nice and toasty in my pj's now. Will bring the washing back in about 9 before it gets too dark!
Right im catching up with Gino nowxx
Mummytogirls x0 -
Ooooh I do love a bit of Gino!! It was quite funny, I watched it at lunch time. Its his accent that does it for me!
I went back to work full time after DD was born, although I was only in the office in the mornings and worked from home in the afternoons. This time I only want to go back three days and make up the hours from home but I'm not sure they'll go for that. Will see, I didn't think I'd get to WFH at all when I went back after my first round of maternity leave, so we'll see!
Anything more than SMP is going to make me feel loaded lol!
Enjoy your cozy night in and I hope the washing dries outside! x0
