Evening diary, 2 posts in 1 day woohoo!!!
All of my little jobs done for today. Didnt get round to the insurance quote as that was a bit advantagious (sp!) since ive had a lasagne to make from scratch.
So will add it to tomorrows list.
Just ordered this weeks shopping to make the most of the voucher from Asda, they had better deliver this week or else!
My weather app is telling me llight rain tomorrow but im not sure if I trust it as it said same for today up until late last night.
So ive got some whites in the washer and if its ok in the morning il peg out if not they will have to go in the dryer.
Right think thats all from me. Will catch up soon xMummytogirls x0 -
Evening diary,
im really not happy with this weather! I keep getting reports thats its going to rain so I use the tumble dryer and then it doesnt flipping rain! I darent risk it though so by the end of this evening it will have been on 3 times . Going to save the rest of the washing until the weekend when im around and hopefully peg it out. So im fully expecting my usage to have gone up around £3 this week, lets see if im right!!
Anyway, never mind! Have a mini productive evening since I didnt do any jobs this morning!
Cut the veg for tomorrows tea, so that will save me 15 mins or so.
DH tidied the living room of toys and I hoovered round.
Got a really good insurance quote with £95 off and £45 back through Quidco, what a winner :T.
Have sorted the kids clothes for tomorrow and their bag for nannas house.
So now im going to go make myself a cup of tea and chill the hell out!!!
Im actually finding working full time actually less tiring that part time, what on earth is that all about? Mind you I am only on week 2 and it is only Wednesday!!!
Right catch up soon x xMummytogirls x0 -
Hi Mummy!
Sorry I haven't dropped by for ages. I have been lurking and trying to keep up with your diary I've just not had much time for posting. The weekly meter reading idea is fantastic, I have been doing it since the end of February now and I look forward to doing it each week to see what we have used. Last week was £4 odd in gas and £4 odd in electric, the least we have used since I started doing the readings! It's great now we have the heating off most of the time.
I finally plucked up the courage and started my own diary a couple of days ago. Thank you for being so inspiring. You are doing a fantastic job yourself.

Not spent too much so not bad on the whole. Got a right bargain from the local farmshop at the weekend. 10 chicken breasts for £9.99! We go through a lot of chicken so ive portioned it up into 2's!
Got my wage slip today with my new salary on and its £13 more than what id worked out so not bad at all. Roll on payday only a week to wait!
Managing to keep on top of everything so thats good, loving the sunny weekends too. More so for the pegging out im getting done :T.
Hi GAP :hello: wondered where you had disappeared off to!! Yay to you doing the meter readings, isnt it fab when you start to see the usage coming down. Stay away Winter haha!!

Hi Mummytogirls

Well done on the insurance quote and quidco, thats fab :T
Are you doing full time permanantly?
I'm loving the warm weather as well, the kids can play out and I can get the washing out as well.
Take care xx0 -
Hi Mummy
Thanks for popping over to my diary
Are you still managing to do the same amount of washing now that you are full time? I work full time and I don't seem to get half the amount of stuff done that you do! I'm just lazy I guess

Morning diary, just popping in for a catch up! About time I hear you cry
!!!
Nothing too exciting to report! On the money front havent got too much left but enough petrol to keep up going til Thursday. Got all meat in freezer so just going to pop to Tescos and spend £20 on a few bits to get us through the weekend.
Today, I have gone against the weather and pegged out 2 loads of washing!!! You watch it will probably bucket down later!!!
Thank Pennywise, I thought so too!! Ive just portioned it up in freezer bags and considering they were charging nearly £7 for 4 I knew I was getting a good deal!!
Choo, its short term full time at the mo, but will be returning back down to my hours I used to do some time over the summer. So am going to try pay off what I can with the extra money.
GAP, I do still do the same amount of washing but instead of doing one load a night I might do 3-4 on a weekend if its nice. Just with no central heating on and if the weather looks pants I darent peg out (with the exception of today cos I think the weather reporters are lying to me!!)
Meter readings done for this week and we used £15 last week, which I was expecting as I used the tumble dryer a couple of times and also one night end up with the heating on for an hour.
Today is my last day until Tuesday :T so its going to be nice spending some time with the kids. Would be nice if payday was before Tuesday but hey theres always next weekend to go out somewhere!!
The kids desperately need some new clothes so that will be the first job after payday! Poor DD1 has grown so much, she only has 2 pairs of shorts and tshirts that fit her!! So im having to make sure im washing one pair as shes got the other on! It wouldnt have been so bad had they been at school, but you really notice when they seem to be in same thing all the time.
Am going to let her choose her own when we go shopping (from a selection that I choose first of course !) I think she will appreciate it now shes getting that bit older.
Right I think thats all from me!! Catch up soon x x xMummytogirls x0 -
Morning diary,
4 days until payday
Well I am cross with DH this morning . He went out last night for his brothers birthday. I got the usual story oh I wont be late blah blah! He doesnt ever go out but what he says and what he does are 2 completely different things. Came crashing through the house at god knows what time, then proceeded to tell me he had fallen in the street over the kerb but he wasnt drunk .
Then next minute hes snoring away and im thinking ive got to get up with the kids soon. Next minute his bloody phone is ringing full blast and he didnt even hear it . I checked the missed call and it was 3.20am obviously from a drunken friend, why would you do that !!!!!!!!! Next minute is something past 5 and DD's stirring with it getting light. So im shattered this morning, bloody men.
Anyway enough of him! Off to get my hair cut this morning and taking the kids with me as they need a good cut too. Then off to Tescos to get a few bits to tide us over for the weekend. Going to exchange £5 for £10 clothing voucher and put that towards DD1's things she needs. Oh the petrol light came on last night too, so need to put a bit of petrol in too!!
Right think thats all from me! Enjoy your days off everyone x xMummytogirls x0 -
MEN:mad:, thats exactly the sort of trick my OH would pull, i think lots of banging in pan/cake tin cupboard is needed today as well as giving the kids the noisiest toys they own to play with or a water fight with the children if its warm enough that will ensure loads of screeches :rotfl:(i know i'm evil) and if he complains about the noise cos he has a bad head just remind him of all the noise he made.
Good idea about changing the vouchers, the Tesco near me doesn't do clothes:mad:, its a shame as well because i only need to get 2 pairs of school trousers for DD and polo shirts for DS and then they have all there uniform for schhool for Sept then, will have to wait for an asda or sainsburys voucher from one of the survey sites.
Hope you have a good day.0
