  • Morning diary, just popping by for a quick update.

    NSD7 of the month woohoo!!

Just totted my diary up for last week and the month and so far ive spent £327 which is not bad at all considering this time last year I was spending much more than this on shopping alone!

Did my shopping online last night as I had a free delivery code with Mr A. Spent £67 and it was the big shop that old mummytogirls would spend over £100 on so very pleased with that and its not costing me anything with the free delivery :T.
So by the end of the month I will have spent probably about another £100 on shopping and petrol which im very pleased about.

Work this week but ive got a week off next week which im really looking forward to.

Think thats all from me catch up soon x x

    Hi Mummytogirls

Just having a quick catch up in between blitzing my to do list!

Where does all the washing come from? I emptied the laundry basket in DDs room over the weekend and today its overflowing again, the washing reproduces overnight (abit like rabbits really)

Ha ha to your DD throwing her jigsaw all over the floor, I think they pick up on vibes from us and then test us to the limit continually doing the same thing.

My DD needs some new winter clothes but theres not much point buying anything new now so she'll just have to wear shorter dresses and pinafores until the spring. Hopefully her summer clothes will still fit her that I bought last year, I tend to buy a size bigger so they last longer.
I can save up over the summer and then in the autumn we can have a nice girly shopping trip. In my head its always a perfect day out but in reality she'll probably just whine all the way round the shops:rotfl:

    Have a great week xxx
  • Afternoon ladies, thanks for popping by!

Mummy, I think with the shopping ive debranded a lot recently even with the washing powder. So where as before I might have been spending £5 on a box and thinking I was getting a bargain now im spending under £2. Ive found absolutely no difference what so ever, so im really pleased.
Also ive started using the cheaper dishwasher tablets which are just as good. We always top up with rinse aid and salt anyway so I dont see a problem. Everything is just as clean when it comes out.
Re the purse, my DH knows about it but im not sure he knows where it is or what it looks like :rotfl:!!!

Choogirl, im beginning to wonder if im a bit excessive with throwing things in the wash basket. Do you only wear things once and then wash them?
Even DD's pj's are clean on every night!! I have one wash load a night to get ready for the radiators the next morning, plus il do towels which go in the dryer to fluff up and then theres the bedding. So thats 9 washes a week, and they are always full washes too!!
The jigsaw is in the bin :T!! I went through all the toys and paired them back up, why im not so sure as it wont look any different tonight!!
The girly shopping trip sounds lovely but no they dont appreciate it like we do :rotfl:!!
My DD's are doing quite well for winter clothes as they each had about 5-6 outfits bought at Christmas.
DD1 hasnt got anything summery that fits her now as shes had last years from the year before if you know what I mean! Shes so tall aswell, shes 4 and fits perfectly into age 5-6 clothes. DD2 has got absolutely loads as I kept all DD1's things!! Im planning on selling their old bits on ebay and then buying them some key pieces for their jollies. Il probably pop to Primark for some cheap tshirts and shorts for playing out in. They will need some jellies or sandals but they are pretty cheapish anyway. If last summers anything to go by, they wont hardly wear their summer stuff!!

Well im really tired today so just want to go home and lounge on the settee!! Ive also got a cold and my nose is constantly running like a flipping tap!! Found some lovely balsam tissues in the bottom of my wardrobe or else it would be the cheapy toilet roll from work!!! Better theirs than mine hehe.
Pasta bake and garlic bread for tea tonight, so an easy one to prepare then I think I will just chill out.
I really need to do some more job searching but just cannot be @rsed today! Im really hoping I get the job ive got the interview for but I cant put all my eggs in one basket really.

Right think thats it from me. Oh I was noseying at the OS board earlier and got the idea to make my own cheese and onion pasties and sausage rolls!! Think il try them next week when im off work. Ive just been looking at my signature aswell and cannot wait until payday when my debt figure will be in the 18k's :T!!!

    Catch up soon x x

  • Morning diary, just popping in for my diary catchup!! What a miserable day outside, hate it when its like this :(.

Well im on the complaining war path again . Bought a multipack of crisps and some of the packets are in there empty. So ive written this morning and hoping il receive some vouchers yay :j!!

Im not sure if today will be a spend day. Ive got a £5 skincare voucher for Boots which runs out today. Im in desperate need of some exfoliator so ive been on the website and found a Sanctuary one which I think the voucher can be redeemed against. There will be something to put towards but im pretty sure but im also sure ive enough on my gift card I received for Christmas! This gift card has gone a very long way :rotfl:!!

Tonight, I need to do the meter readings and make jelly and rice pudding for the kids puddings for the next few nights. Really running out of everything but im sure I can make do with what I have in instead of running to the shops :T!

Got my wash load ready for the washer tonight, pinks today! It was darks last night!

Oh and ive got a lovely pile of ironing with my name on it for tonight aswell! Sounds like a busy mummytogirls tonight doesnt it!!!

    Catch up soon x

    Morning mummy

Today is the first day of me doing my weekly meter readings for SP so I need to do it tonight, that was a good reminder of yours!! It'll be better when I get into the swing of it. You are a really busy person! Where do you get the time to make all the lovely meals you have? I have one child (10 years old so can entertain herself) I work full time (not through choice!!) and I am so exhausted I barely have time to boil pasta, never mind make all the delicious sounding meals you have and do the amount of washing you do. I do the bare minimum :o

Oh well, better get back to work and actually earn my wages! :)

  • Morning GAP, il try mention it in my diary re the meter readings to prompt you also!!

I am really busy but once ive got into the swing of things, it comes as second nature really! Plus I only work 3 days so I do get the extra 2 days that you dont have to get up to date with things.

I write everything down in my diary which is with me at all times! Then I cant forget to do things!!

    Have a lovely day :) x

    Hi Mummytogirls

I tend to wear things once if its a light top but if its a jumper its probably washed after 2 wears. PJs,bedding and towels are done once a week. The trouble is DD doesn't like to fold and put away her clothes its easier to put them straight in the wash! I really don't know where its all come from this week - I need to investigate!

I used to work 3 days a week as well and it was great! I had to go back to work full time as the debt really was spiralling and we were living in a !!!!py council house. My daughter was suffering because I was going insane with the stress. I miss doing 3 days though. I leave early 2 days a week and on those two days we eat slightly better but it is not the same

I have a small notepad in my bag which I used to write in all the time but not at all recently. I will start it up again just to keep me focused. Thanks for that too.

Choogirl I laughed at one of your earlier posts again. In my head the girly shopping trips with my daughter are a perfect day out but usually it is me who whines all the way round :o I don't like shopping but she loves it! There's just never enough money. (Just to clarify - I like shopping when I am on my own, I just don't like it when I have to wait whilst someone else is looking! - selfish cow I am!)

    xx
