Afternoon diary!!
Choogirl, you see I think this is where im going wrong, everything is only worn once!! I wash DD's uniform everyday cos she goes to the inlaws who smoke and her uniform comes home absolutely stinking ! I think its because the bag is kept in the kitchen where they smoke, not near the girls thank god.
I dont have the heart to ask if she wouldnt mind keeping her stuff out the way cos she does childcare for free for us if you know what I mean!
The other thing is I cant stand food smells on clothes, so obviously when ive cooked I can smell the food on my clothes! Dont help myself really do I?!
GAP, I suppose you have to do whats best for your family really. I mean your obviously happier in yourself knowing your paying the debts and living in a nicer house. Thats what I always think about my girls, we may not have much money at the mo for treats but we do have a lovely house and garden and what not!
For me to work full time I would be about £20 a month better off as id have to pay childcare the extra 2 days. In my mind id rather not have the £20 and only work 3 days!! When they are at school things will be different.
Yep get writing back in your notepad. Mine is just one of the work diaries ive picked up. My to do lists, spending diary and meter readings are all in there! Id be devastated if I lost it !!!
Well 2 things! A lady has brought in cake as its her birthday so ive saved my afternoon snack for tomorrow!!
Received my wage slip and im £2 up which is better than nothing I suppose :T!!
Im planning on leaving work a bit earlier to have a mosey down to Boots for the exfoliator. Then will meet DH at his work at hometime!
Not sure whats for tea tonight, freezer surprise I think!! Nice and easy, bung something in the oven and I can get on with my jobs whilst its cooking!

I guess the main problem for me workwise now is that although I could compress my job into 3 days a week, there are only 5 of us in the office and my boss wants us here every day to ensure phone and reception cover. He is good in that he has 3 kids of his own so if I need time away for things he usually comes and goes with me. Also, like I say, I leave early 2 days a week so it could be worse.
My daughter has a uniform for each day of the week and I wash them at weekends. Is that incredibly lazy of me?
Have fun in Boots!! xMortgage at 12/07/2022 = £175,000
Mortgage today = £161,690.76
300 271 payments to go.House buyout fund £21,000/£40,000

Choogirl I laughed at one of your earlier posts again. In my head the girly shopping trips with my daughter are a perfect day out but usually it is me who whines all the way roundI don't like shopping but she loves it! There's just never enough money. (Just to clarify - I like shopping when I am on my own, I just don't like it when I have to wait whilst someone else is looking! - selfish cow I am!)
xx

My daughter whines when she has spent all her money and I end up getting frustrated because its too busy, have no money left or can't find anything to buy xx

I would definitely be washing uniform every day if they came home smelling of smoke as well.0 -
Evening diary,
just popping by as ive just entered meter readings. Weve used £25.84 this week so 84p more than last week! Im imagining that was mostly gas since we had the heating on extra when it snowed on Saturday .
Made the jellies aswell, just hope they set as some of the cubes didnt want to melt into the water.
Also been to boots and got myself an exfoliator and a thermal face mask treatment, using the £5 skincare vouchers. I had to put a bit towards but used my gift card. Thats all been spent now and I have a whole collection of Sanctuary spa face products :T!!
So I need to do my ironing after the girls are in bed, im hoping to be sat down chilling out for 8pm!
Oh ive submitted some more application forms today aswell so quite a productive day all in all.
GAP, my DD has 2 uniforms so they need washing twice a week. Because im here Thursday and Friday she wears the same one if its clean. She only goes half days and I get it off her back as soon as she walks through the door!!
Your boss sounds good, I think it always helps when they have children themselves!
Choogirl, re the smoke smell I can really smell it so im pretty sure the teachers would be able to!!
Right best get off here! Beans on toast for tea as I really cant be bothered making anything else. Kids can have beans on toast for lunch tomorrow to use up the rest of them!!
Catch up tomorrow x xMummytogirls x0 -
Morning diary, last day at work today yay :j!!!
Did some of my ironing last night, didnt get it all done but just made headway with it!! After id taken the washing off the radiators this morning the ironing pile is growing again!!
Sorted my wash load out for tonight which is light blues and greys.
The house has stayed pretty tidyish this week. Am planning on flying round with the hoover again tonight once the kids have had their bath then il only have the bathrooms to do tomorrow.
Jelly did set woohoo!! I put it into little pots for them which should be a novelty.
Payday Friday and cannot wait to do some more debt busting and getting under the £19k mark.
Couldnt wait to use my new exfoliator last night what a geek :rotfl:!! But I must say my skin looks brighter already!! Am already planning my relaxing bath and mask on Sunday.
Right I think thats it from me! Im sure il be back later with some more random wafflings!

Afternoon diary, just popping in for my daily catch up.
Had a very productive day which has seen me clean the whole house with the help of the kids :T.
NSD8 today aswell!!!
Done my next lot of washing which was whites. I think I can have a day off the washing tomorrow too although I may do bedding since were not leaving the house.
GTG, catch up soon xMummytogirls x0 -
Hi Mummytogirls
Sorry I've not posted for a few days, I did start to post a reply on Tuesday but lost it, got distracted by a small child and then forgot to redo it.
I'm supposedly cleaning my house at the moment but I'm so easily distracted. The sun is shining here today and unfortunately its revealing all the houses grimy corners that the dull weather has managed to disguise. I am getting the urge to make a spring cleaning list, how sad am I?
Hitting the £18k will be fantastic for you, I won't be making it into the £8k mark this month but my HSBC credit card will go below £2k so its all good. We all need little targets.
I don't think that you're a geek for wanting to use your new beauty product, its nice to have a cost effective treat.
Catch up soon xxx0 -
Back to finish off what I started earlier!
Actually its NSD9 today 8 was yesterday.
Tonights tea was chicken pie, mash and veg. DH had some sausage as hes not a pie fan!! We are rapidly running out of everything its a good job my shopping is coming before lunch tomorrow!!
I had to whip up some angel delight for pudding but needed to use some milk that needs using too.
Choogirl, my windows always drive me mad in the sun. Theres always finger prints from the kids or nose marks from the dog on my patio doors!
Ended up adding loads to my shopping today and taking the total to £80! Its still less than my old big shop but £65 sounded better! I have to admit ive ordered myself a small bottle of wine for tomorrow night as I been really fancying a glass recently.
Right best go, hope alls well x xMummytogirls x0 -
Evening diary,
hope a high spend day today!! Put £40 in the car, im hoping that will last nearer 2 weeks but I bet it doesnt!!
Shopping came in at £85 . I had amended with some stuff for a cake DH is baking. Cupboards are bursting though and im stocked up on dishwasher tablets, toilet rolls, washing powder etc! So im hoping for the next 2 weeks I can get away with smallish spends at the local farmshop. Id bought extra biscuits so im going to hide 1/2 and bring them out next week for DH's packed lunches. Fruit bowl full which is good.
Im sat enjoying my glass of wine which was also delivered!! Just got one of those little bottles but its going down really nicely! A bit early I know, hopefully I will be asleep on the sofa at 8pm :rotfl:!!
Oh and DD is potty trained now so only using 1 nappy a day at bedtime. Got a pack of Asda's 42 delivered and those will last me 6 weeks woohoo!!
Updated my debt figures earlier, but will change my signature once ive made some more payments next week!!
Righty ho think thats all from me. Hoping for a payout from opinion world soon x xMummytogirls x0 -
We all need a little treat every now and again so enjoy the wine, i had a couple of glasses last night, needed it though as my mother had been over:mad:, we don't have the best relationship.0
