  • Afternoon diary,

Hi Pennywise, I just had the one glass but really enjoyed it!! Oh dear to your mother . I used to have a bit of a relationship like that with my mum but now I keep her at arms length!!

Well today I have woken up with the worst head and neck ache ever. Paracetamol didnt even touch it so had to call to the coop for something stronger. £3.50 for some liquid capsule nurofen . It seems to have mostly worked but I can still feel a dull ache there. Hope im not coming down with anything thats the last thing I need right now.

Right well im going to say again that it definately pays to complain! Received a £3 voucher for the crisps in this mornings post, only posted the letter Tuesday evening so that is service for you!!! Wouldnt have got crisps delivered with yesterdays order if id known they were so quick.

Tonight we are having a chinese out of our treat money. I am really looking forward to it, even more so that DH had some extra money and took it with him for the work meal last night. Someone he works with paid so hes £15 up aswell :T.

Nothing much planned for tomorrow. Probably just more chilling out and a roast for tea.

    Happy Saturday everyone x x

  • Well done on the voucher and enjoy the chinese.

My mother is one of those women who always finds the negative in everything i do:mad:, luckily i don't see her very often:D.

Great news on the voucher, it certainly pays to complain.

Enjoy your chinese tonight, we're having spare ribs, stir fry and noodles tonight so very similar.

Hooray to DD been potty trained - what a clever girl and nice for you as well, it will save you a fortune in nappies.

    Have a good evening xx
  • Morning diary, cant believe its nearly a year since I started writing here!!

Pennywise, im glad you keep her at arms length too :D!!

Choogirl, hope you enjoyed your chinese too!! Well with nappies ive been buying them for over 4 years constantly aswell!! With DD1 I always bought 2 packs for £16 from Sainsburys, little did I know about the boxes you could get from Asda.
It wasnt until I started diarising here that I started exploring other brands and realising id been throwing money away for over 3 years . Heyho never mind, at least now I know and wouldn't make that mistake again.

Nothing too much to report really. The chinese was yummy :)!!

Just been trying to catch up on some surveys, im at £37 for onepoll now so so close for a payout. Hope it doesnt take too long to get there!!

Today is roast chicken which im really looking forward to. Will use the leftovers for sandwiches tomorrow.

Really need to catch up with my washing today. Ive not done any since the whites on Thursday and now the basket is overflowing. Will do pinks and bedding probably and then I might be able to squeeze a darks wash in if I get the pinks dry on the radiators.
So that will have been 7 washes this week if id done one a night as planned!!
Going to have a quick tidy round but since im here this week I can keep up to it each day.

Think thats all from me anyway. Roll on school tomorrow ive just had to confiscate something from DD's as they werent sharing. Oh and now DD1 has been sent to her room for not listening argh!!

    Happy Sunday everyone

    Hi Mummytogirls

Glad you enjoyed your chinese, our spare ribs were yummy. I've rediscovered my slow cooker since being a MSE.
Its frustrating when you realise the errors of your past life that could have saved some more pennies but hey ho we all learn. The one thing its taught me is never accept what you're been told without doing some more investigating.
We've had roast chicken for dinner tonight as well, the leftovers will make a pie for tomorrow nights dinner and I'll make stock from the bones afterwards as well. I can't believe I am now so thrifty but it all helps.
My 2 have been arguing as well today DD likes to wind up DS until he loses his temper, she gets pleasure from seeing him get told off for over reacting, shes an evil child :rotfl:

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday xx
  • Morning diary,

Just popping in to update my figures, were now under the £19k mark. Ive worked out that after next months payments il have paid off over 20%. That feels like such a milestone :T.

Choogirl, I never really got on with my slowcooker and ended up burning the handle of the lid in the oven a few months back :rotfl:.
Im not sure if mine was faulty but a stew that had been in since 8am still wasnt no where near cooked at 4pm. Hence why I put the crock pot in the oven not thinking about the handle being plastic .

Well yesterday we all ended up going on an hour long walk with the dog. The fresh air and a bit of freedom for the kids cleared some tension for certain. Maybe we should make a point of doing that on days weve not got anything on?

Today I need to do some ironing as ive not finished a full basket for about 2 weeks now which is very unlike me! Just cant seem to find the motivation for it. Have promised DD we can play on the Wii this afternoon so that will burn a few calories too.

Cant believe its the 1st of March tomorrow, this year is flying by already. Mind you I am counting the days between paydays to get more debt paid off!!

    Happy Monday everyone x x

  • Hello. Well done to dd being potty trained!! ) My dd is starting to show signs but im not sure if I would be waisting time doing it now as she is 22mths and when baby gets here she will prob go back as they say that often happens?!?! So not sure I should yet or not :undecided (also my SPD will not agree with all the up and down the stairs :p) I use washable ones so it wont save me any money to be doing it yet..........

  • Hi Mummy,

I suppose you know your DD better than anyone else. Sounds like with the SPD and what not you might be better off waiting til after the baby? My DD1 was potty trained before DD2 came along, she was very young when I think about it now but she did it perfectly and was dry within a few days with very little accidents. DD2 did very well too although she was that little bit older at just over 24 months.
Plus ive got a toilet on every floor which obviously makes it much easier for emptying potties and what not!

Ooohhh the curry sounds yummy!! Weve not had one for a while but think one might be on the cards very soon!!

Well ive managed to get to the bottom of my ironing pile this morning. Played with DD for a little while and then cracked on whilst she watched cbeebies and ate her snack. Then after lunch weve all had a go on the Wii so burned some calories there too! Ive also started using myfitnesspal on my phone again to count my calories.

Not sure what il be doing for tea yet which is very unorganised of me .

Morning diary, just popping in for my daily rant :D! Although I dont think ive got anything to rant about hurray I hear you cry :).

Well Ive been a busy bee this morning, made a lasagne for tonights tea and froze the rest of the bolognaise for another nights tea, very MSE :money:!

Done my meter readings aswell and weve used £23.62 this week, so nearly £2 less than last week. Maybe its because its not as dark on evenings hence we dont need the lights on. Im not complaining anyway. Should use slightly more this week with me being here every day.

Think thats all from me anyway!! Best go get a shower as im meeting a friend at soft play after ive picked DD up from nursery.

    Catch up soon x x
