    Evening Diary,

Thanks all for popping in. Well the dreaded bug got me Wednesday afternoon, we are all still not 100% now if I'm honest. The only plus side I can see to this is the lack of money spent this week and the lack of food eaten. Last night was the first meal we had all eaten since Monday! I thought we were ok today and we've been out for tea but my stomach is now really not appreciating it!!

Just paid some more of our holiday so will pay the remaining when we next get paid. Weve also bought the girls some bits from H&M today and I've ordered some bikinis and swimsuits from Mr A's which I will collect on Wednesday when I'm down there picking up my shopping.

Easter tomorrow! Ive got the chicken (from Tuesday) out to defrost so will have a nice big roast. DD2 still has swimming lessons so will take her there and then out for a walk. The weather is also going to be nice tomorrow so have put some washing in and will peg out in the morning.

Thats about all from me. Hope all ok xx

    Afternoon Diary,

Had a busy old week since I last posted, lots of spending!, trips to various parks etc. Cant believe its Thursday afternoon already and before we know it we will be back at work boohoo!!!

Today we've had a day at home and I've caught up on all my jobs. Ran out of steam at 2pm so went for a walk down to the drs with a prescription for DD and then to the park. They're now playing out in the street so I'm having 5 mins peace whilst looking for some nice flip flops for my holiday :D.

Tomorrow we are going to my friends for lunch and the afternoon, will be a nice cheap day out to finish off the holidays.

    Hope all ok x

    Evening Diary,

Nothing much going on here just thought id pop in!

Can not believe we are back to school on Monday.... boooohhhoooo! I really enjoy just being out of routine, floating round doing as we please. Oh well only 6 weeks until Spring Bank :D.

The weather has been so random here today. One minute its sunny, hailing and snowing the next. Its quite breezy now so I've put some towels out to dry about 4pm. Don't think they will dry 100% but will then just stick them in the TD for 20 mins or so.

Haven't had tea yet, DH is out having a pint with some friends. He had better hurry up as I'm getting a hungry now. Not sure what we will have, have burgers, kievs and chicken in the fridge so will rustle something up.

Thats all from me. Hope all ok x

    Morning Diary,

All up early here for the last day of the holidays... DH's fault for waking at 6 and subsequently waking up the whole house! We shouldn't have any problem sleeping tonight in that case.

DFB, totally agree with the spending thing! Even though its been my own personal spending money I've been spending on myself its running out now so need to be back at work until next payday ha!! The good news is that I ordered a bikini from n3xt which is minuscule so I'm taking that back today which will be money refunded back to me.

So last night went and picked DH up and he cooked us cajun chicken burgers and chips which was nice. The towels that I put out at 4 were not far off dry so I just put them on the airer over night and they're fully dried this morning which is just fab! Heavy rain forecast here today so no washing to be dried today :(.

    Plans for today are:
    - hang wash load on airer
    - catch up with ironing
    - quick swish round to keep the house looking tidy
    - DDs swimming lesson
    - take bikini back to n3xt
    - Sort PE and book bags for school tomorrow
    - sort water bottles and packed lunches for tomorrow
    - nag at DH to polish school shoes
    - wash school coats (since snotty neighbours kid wiped his nose on DDs coat yesterday... gip _pale_)
    - cook sausage and mash for tea

Quite a busy day planned then!! Hope all ok, will probably catch up in about 2 weeks when I've settled back into the work routine ha xx

  • Sounds like a busy day but definitely agree it will be great to get back into routine again although the next term will be mega busy.

Mine are lucky enough to have one more day before school on Tuesday so I'll be doing what you are tomorrow.

Hope you enjoy the day despite all the preparations.

Sounds like a busy Easter holidays were had by all and normality will resume tomorrow. Bit weird this year as I haven't had time off over Easter at all as madam is nearly 16 and did not want me hanging around. She has kept herself busy, out of mischief and the house has not been burned down. Woo hoo...

I have booked May half term off already though as I am knackered and need time off. Oh well only 6 weeks until then. Think I should make it. Keep going - you're doing great....

    Afternoon Diary,

Well we've been busy since i posted this morning, only these jobs left to do:

    - Sort PE and book bags for school tomorrow
    - sort water bottles and packed lunches for tomorrow
    - cook sausage and mash for tea

Whilst in N3xt we had a mosey found the furniture dept as we are looking for a side table for the living room. Ive been looking for a table cloth (wipeable type) and I just do not know where they get some of their prices from! I saw one in there for £22... bought one very similar in Dunelm for £4.

Enjoy your last day off tomorrow Chrysalis. We don't have plans for Spring Bank yet but I think a camping trip may be on the cards.

Mags, I work in a school so get all the holidays off. Ive often wondered if I will leave the job when the kids get older. Don't think I can go longer than 7 weeks without a day off now though ha!! Glad your DD is still in one piece as is the house :rotfl:

    xx

I can imagine it would be hard to give up when they have grown but just think - debt free and able to take holidays at cheaper times of the year!!!!!

I am living for that day although madam has already announced that she will be coming on holidays with us for some time as she loves our choices. Flippin cheek :D but if I do say so myself I quite like it. Apparently she will not necessarily be going with dad on his though. Great. We have had some good ones though over the year before my money was going on paying back post grad loans. Who knows if we will get back to that when debt free but hubby then a pensioner. Bless him.

Have a great return to school and hope the kids are not too out of routine.

Hope the morning school/work run went well today.

I am also hoping to have another camping trip in the May holidays, love it :T (Its amazing how my standard have dropped since being in debt).

Maybe once you are debt free you could consider working a shorter week. Would you work be flexible like that?

Hope you have a good easy week xxx
