  • Morning Diary,

Well the last day of half term... how did that happen?! Didn't end up at soft play as it was nice weather so we went to a local park, had a play and fed the ducks. I was looking after a friend of DD1s for the afternoon and they gave me £10 to pay for ice creams so I didn't spend anything which was nice!!

Yesterday we went swimming as the local pool had free swims on. It was really dead and so yesterday was NSD4... pretty poor for the 18th of the month really! The kids really really enjoyed it too.

Chrysalis, yes the car will make it will just look like some dodgy woman driver who can't drive... although its my stupid husbands fault! Im going to wait until May as our holiday will be paid for and the headteacher at school said she's going to see about giving me a decent payrise in April as I'm constantly working above and beyond. Probably won't work out that much with me working term time anyway but one can dream ha!!

DFB35 thanks for popping in and subscribing. TBH we could have done so much better than the 44% but we've really slacked off in the last year or so. I would love to see the back of the debt but I also am mindful that I have 2 young kids that are growing up before my eyes. DD2 is 6 and this is her first abroad holiday this year. We would love to take them to Florida but that is a massive expense and I'm worried that if we don't start saving for that soon, DD1 will be too old to fully appreciate it. So I'm kind of on the fence with the debt. I suppose theres always something to pay for isn't there and as long as the debt is going down not up thats the main thing.

So today DH is coming home in about 15 mins and we are going to have fish and chips for lunch. Its not a massive expense as I don't eat fish anyway and DH shares his with the kids. Then we are going swimming.. again! We are using up DD2's fun swims at where she does her lessons.

Fahitas for tea, chicken is out defrosting.

Oh I also got a £2 coin the other day so now at £14 which I'm pretty chuffed with! This is going towards the holiday spending money fund.

    Hope all ok xx

  • Hi DF1D,

I work in the school office, my role includes dealing with the pupil records and that side of it all. I also do marketing for the school, so recently we had a 'rebrand', website, twitter etc. Weve been in the local media 4 times in the past 3 months... all for good reasons of course ha!! We are the underdog in the village, its always been that way to the Church of England next door so we are trying to get out there as we are quite hidden away. Its such a lovely school but I am biased given that I work there and generally LOVE it but I also went there as a child!! We have had people looking round because they have heard were the up and coming school. We like this a lot ha! What do you do in school? I do really genuinely love it but its much harder than I ever envisaged!

£4 is better than no £ ha xx

  • Oh yes the holidays do definitely help. People just don't realise how you much you to have to cram in to the half terms. This next half term is a short one and then after Easter my job will go wild with getting ready for the new reception children in Sept and transferring all of the leavers. It was especially stressful last year as we were finalising the rebrand so I hope it won't be so bad this year x

  • Evening Diary,

Second day back at work going well!!! Yesterday I was so wiped out, the first day back really takes it out of me.

So Sunday was pretty eventful for me. Got a call from the fraud prevention team telling me there was suspected fraud on my debit card. I wasn't sure if it was legit so rung took their details and rung telephone banking. It was legit!!!! Could not believe it. Luckily the transactions was declined but it was for a hotel in America! So I've got no card no as it obviously had to be cancelled!!

Yesterday was a NSD - 5 I think. Today was a small spend £4.71 on milk, sausages, bacon and oranges in the farmshop.

Thats about all from me. Hope all ok x

    Hi Mummytogirls,

Hope all is going well! Cant believe about the fraud grrrr.... I had some issues with my card being cloned last year, but luckily it was for a small amount and the bank has resolved it very quickly!

Also read a bit about your dreams to go to Florida.. this is my husbands absolute dream holiday.. but like yourself im worried it will never happen due to the cost.. But who knows, we can dream for now :D

    Xx
  • Afternoon Diary,

Cant say I'm having the best of weeks... after bank fraud earlier I am off sick today (I never take time off). Out of nowhere last night I have been violently sick and the other! One minute was sat messing with my phone, next I'm over the loo. Not feeling too bad today but have to take time off with working in a school. DH took the girls to breakfast club as he usually would and I went back off to bed. Had some toast an hour ago and it seems to have stayed put so hopefully thats the end of that.

So yesterday was shopping day in cash since I had no card! Spent £30 so not too bad. My new card is here now so I need to activate that soon.

Today will be NSD6 and tomorrow is DH's payday :j.

Nothing much more to report tbh. Going to attempt a shower and getting dressed soon as I need to collect the girls from school.

    Hope all ok x
