Afternoon Diary,
Thursday already, I say this every week but where do the weeks go?!
So yesterday I went and collected my shopping whilst the girls were at gymnastics, came in at £46 so not bad at all. I spent 50p on a trashy magazine and sat in the car reading that waiting for the girls, saved me spending another £20 in the actual store that I didnt need to! Also got petrol, really noticed a decrease in the price, my car actually cost £10 less to fill!!
Today ive been to the farmshop and spent £16 on chicken, eggs, potatoes and daffodils! Was also supposed to go to the hardware shop in the village but didnt get chance so will have to go tomorrow.. another spend day there then!
We got our annual water bill today and is going up by £2 a month from March so ive just incorporated that into the spread sheets. Nothing much more to report, hope all ok xMummytogirls x0 -
Morning MTG
Wow you sound super organised. Well done for escaping to the car with a trashy mag and saving money. You are good, I would have had a cream cake to go with the mag
Reading about you upping your water budget by £2 per month to cover the rise has made me even more determined to try to be REALLY strict with my budget.
I am really bad at forgetting to note down in advance the tiny little spends that go on, and then get surprised when they come out of the bank a few days later and I have to re-jiggle the budget.
After reading how strict you are, I will make more of an effort to stay in control
Its Friday :T. Hope you have a nice weekend planned xx0 -
Evening Diary,
DH in the garage tinkering with his new bike so I've got the TV to myself and having a little catch up on here.
Steph, I don't feel very organised sometimes!! You've got to incorporate the increases as soon as you find out about them or else you forget!
So I've had a NSD(2) today. DH asked me to call to his work on the way home to collect his bike. What a nightmare that turned out to be. Got stuck and traffic and got home with 5 mins to spare for the girls!
Had chicken provencal in the slow cooker today which was delicious, DD2 was a bit unsure! Had it with saut!ed potatoes and ratatouille. Since then I've ironed, cleaned 2 bathrooms and hoovered 2 floors. Will give the middle floor another hoover tomorrow and then do the other bathroom and the bedrooms. Oh I've also steamed the floors downstairs. My detergent part isn't working though so thinking I'm going to have to contact v@x about it. I would also like to do some filing as I've got loads of receipts on the side in the spare bedroom.
So tomorrow I'm off out for the evening so I can imagine Sunday will be a right off for anything . My friend comes round regularly for tea and she has been saying she would like to take us out for a curry and we are doing that Sunday. At least it will save cooking.
Thats about all from me. Off to put some washing in so I can get the kids uniforms sorted before tomorrow night! Happy weekend all xMummytogirls x0 -
Hi mummy
You sound like you know exactly what your doing
Have a great weekend and a fab curry x0 -
Afternoon Diary,
Had a great night out Saturday and the hang over wasnt too bad. Infact I totally surpassed what I thought I might get done ha! Still havent done the filing though.
Nothing too exciting to report. DH been unwell so had a spend day yesterday buying him some day and night nurse. Then today we needed a few bits from the coop, so £8 in there. Knocked £3 off my Mr A's collection tomorrow though making that £29 which is just fab for the week. It would have been less but ive had to buy quite a few ingredients to make SF chicken from scratch.
Going to a breakfast for tea tonight, use up some bacon in the freezer. Thats all from me. Hope all ok xxMummytogirls x0 -
Oh I also meant to say that ive been in the garage to check on my daffodils as I put the pot away for the winter once they died off. Was surprised to see little shoots appearing given its been quite cold and they havent been watered! So ive snipped off a few dead bits, given them a good water with food and popped them out the back. I can feel spring is on its way! xxMummytogirls x0

Evening Diary,
Just having a chilled out Saturday watching Take me out so having a catch up! Currently DH is in the dog house downstairs! He's crashed my car again today but he was really really sh!tty with me and then he expects that I will just be nice to him because he was p!ssed off with himself! Erm not a chance, speak to my properly or not at all ha! Car looks a right state, again won't be getting it fixed as it would probably cost more than the car... will just keep limping on by on the poor thing haha!
So today we've been out for a chinese with a friend of DDs for his birthday. Wasn't too bad, £35 including drinks.
Tomorrow I need to go and get a new headlight as I noticed in the garage door that one has gone. Will just get them to fit it as last time DH changed one it caused a world war :rotfl:.
Nothing much planned with the girls for next week. They're getting their hair cut on Monday and we need to wait in for a parcel Tuesday. Will take them to the fun swims at swimming and try do as many free things as possible.
Hope all ok xMummytogirls x0 -
Morning Diary,
Just a quick catch up from me. Half term hols are going ok, not spent any money doing kids activities, this will end today as im taking them to soft play after lunch.
DD2 has been particularly testing this week, dont know whats going on with her attitude at the minute.
Yesterday was quite a spendy day. Went to h@lfords for a new headlight... £18 later . DH can struggle his way through next time as im not paying that again!!!! Also popped into HB for some toilet roll and ended up spending £13 as appose to £4 . Would have been cheaper to leave the toilet roll on the shopping order id placed!
I did a few surveys yesterday and am up to about £3.70 now on opoll. These ones seem really slow this time round for me.
Hope all ok anyway xxMummytogirls x0 -
Hi mtg, oh no poor car is it going to last until you are able to change it?
Hope you're having a nice half term, I had lots of freebie plans but the weather has prevented that happening so will save them for Easter break.
Hope you and the family are well.
