    Evening diary,

Yay we've broken up :EasterBun heres to 2 weeks of doing as we please :D.

So I've upset the window cleaner tonight! We had an old fashioned window cleaner i.e. up a ladder but he said he was getting too old for it now and he would look for someone to take on the round. Anyway, that was all we heard and then we got something through the post with details of new window cleaner who would take over. I got home from work on Weds and there was a thing pushed through saying window cleaner had been. I looked at the kitchen window, thought no he must have just come to introduce himself and left it at that. Next min he's banging on the door for money which totally threw me and I didn't have any money on me anyway so asked him to come back tonight. Yesterday I had a good look at the windows and basically he is taking the p!ss. He hasn't done the kitchen window as the trampoline has not been moved, front door also hasn't been done. So tonight he came, I paid him and told him we wouldn't be continuing with his services. He obviously wasn't happy with this and told me he's paid the old window cleaner for 3 lots of window cleans!! Erm like this is my problem, how about you come and ask me first if I want you to continue. He also does it using this big pole thing too no ladder. I checked with the neighbour and she said he was that quick she didn't even realised he had done mine. Im not having someone taking the p!ss out of me .

He looked a bit dodgy and I'm not worried he might come and put my windows through or something!! Anyway, I'm not being taken for a mug simple as. He picked on the wrong one to try and get one over on put it that way :rotfl:.

Today is NSD8. Cant flipping wait until payday on Tuesday, plus DH gets paid then too so we will feel super rich :T.

Tomorrow DD2 has a party so the morning will be wrapping presents, tidying up etc. Then Im out tomorrow night but just realised I have to shoes as I need to get my favourite pair re-healed. So will use some of my Outfit GV's to buy some more tomorrow afternoon as no chance of getting others re-healed before then.

Hope all ok, happy weekend and happy holidays for those off xx

    Afternoon Diary,

The eventfulness continues!!! DD2 was sick AGAIN last night, she also had the runs poor kid, how can you even catch it twice in the same week? She's a bit peaky today so she will hopefully feel better tomorrow.

So last night I went to the pub for a few with some friends. Came home at 11 with DD being unwell and I'm glad I did as they all came rolling in about 4am which I am just not cut out to be doing anymore :rotfl:. Cant be doing with the hangovers/tiredness/waste of a day/spending all that money to feel so bad!!! I feel I got the best of both worlds, got to catch to and still be in bed for a decent hour.

This morning I've done some ironing and filing. The study is such a mess, it needs a good clearing out but I just can't be bothered with doing it at the moment, so what I've done will suffice for now.
Just been searching round for pet insurance quotes and can't seem to get them cheaper than £37 a month . I pay less for the car!! We briefly cancelled his insurance last year and then he got really poorly so we daren't not have him insured now.

Today will be NSD9, not doing so bad in those stakes and I am now up to £22 in my £2 coins which I am pleased with :T.

Tomorrow me and the girls will be going to the big post office in town for passport forms for them, we will also get their passport photos done. Thats my only job for the Easter holidays really.

Nothing much to report from me, hope you're all ok x

    Hi MTG

I don't blame you with the window cleaner problem. We had something similar a few years ago. The window cleaner always came when i was out so I never saw how he cleaned the windows but was never overly impressed with the result. I was home one day when the car was not on the drive (MOT) and I craftily watched the window cleaner at work. He basically sprayed water at the window and left . As you can imagine I cancelled his services straight after.:o

Hope your DD2 is feeling better soon, so horrible to have sickie bugs especially during the holidays.

Good luck with passports, My children need new ones end of this year. Soo expensive.

  • I've had similar problems with my window cleaner, he did an ok job (never sparkling clean though!) but he never ever ever told me when he'd be coming. Sometimes it was every 4 weeks, sometimes every 6 weeks (like we'd asked him to do) and sometimes he would disappear for ages telling me he was busy elsewhere  I had asked him loads of times to text/fb me /whats app me BEFORE coming but he never did so the other week he was half way up the ladder ( i was in for a change) when I went running out and basically told him no more, go away. I was a bit harsh but I mean, come on, how many times do I need to ask him to let me know when he's coming, it's not hard is it! :p So I am now without a window cleaner lol

    Afternoon Diary,

So this is 3 of us without window cleaners then :rotfl:. Its quite expensive, I know its dangerous up a ladder but they are some are quite obviously taking the p!ss!!

So today's job is to sort passports for the kids. Sourced a local post office who stock the forms so went there (better than having to go into town) then went for Mr M's for the photos. Well what a drama!! DD2 has a fringe and the new rules state nothing covering the eyebrows. So we had to clip it back and she was not happy. They're not the most flattering of photos anyway are they! So £16 on photos and £14 in Morrisons on bits for sandwiches, wine and snacks for having the neighbours round tonight. Have text DH and asked him to bring some black biros home as all of ours are blue and we need black for the forms. Will ask one of the neighbours who is a church minister to counter sign the forms for me and will aim to get them sent off this week.

Payday for both DH and I tomorrow .

So today, didn't get up until 9am :T. Kids got up after 8 but just went downstairs to watch TV and didn't wake me up until they wanted breakfast. Ive done 2 loads of washing, 1 is currently blowing around on the line and the other is just finishing off in the machine. The last one is towel wash so will put those in the TD as its supposed to rain here at 4 and haven't anymore room on the line.

Thats about all for me. Waiting in tomorrow for a local charity to come and collect the old sofa (hopefully!).

    Hope everyones ok x

    Afternoon Diary,

Things are getting more dramatic here by the day! DD1 and DH now have the sickness _pale_ praying I do not catch this! We have a day out planned Thursday, we've already paid for tickets and its about 2 hours from here so we all need to be well for that.

So today is payday :j with all the illness I haven't even done anything but log in and check how much DH got paid. The local charity came and took the sofas so my kitchen now looks huge after having 2 2 seaters propped up against the dresser for a week.
Mr T's came soon after with the shopping, £46 spent there so not bad at all.

Nothing too much else to report. I was doing roast chicken for tea but I actually forgot to get it out the freezer which is probably not a bad thing given theres only me and DD2 eating.

    Hope everyones ok x

  • Beans on toast it is then? :rotfl:

Hope everyone is better for Thursday though nothing worse than battling to go out as you've paid for tickets and then no one enjoying it as they'd rather be tucked up in bed  xx
