  • Morning Diary,

Apologies for being awol since Tuesday, just been soooo busy! Was going to post last night and then The ML show came on TV and I got distracted with that!!!

So what to report. Yesterday was NSD2 - Wednesday I spent £17 in Mr M's on a few bits and a onesie for DD2 birthday. Thursday was chicken at £7 from the butchers... kicking myself as I should have gone to the farmshop and got more for my money but then id have no doubt spent about £30! Plus the chicken breasts were quite large and the meal actually stretched to 2 meals so every cloud and all that!!!

Today will be a spend day as I need to pop to Halfords to collect DD's bike. Then we are going to a popular sofa store to look at a sofa we've seen on the advert :o! Weve been looking for one for a while as we've outgrown our 2 seaters now but we haven't found 'the one'. This one looks perfect but were used to leather and this looks suede so not sure with the kids! Its a real bargain aswell compared to other corner groups on sale as its the intro price or something. It was funny cos as soon as the advert came on both me and DH chirped up.. "oooohhhh thats nice" ha!!

Thats about all from me. The wind here has been really really bad but everything looks to be where it should be.. a trampoline round the corner was half way across the street on the way back from the school run yesterday!

Have a lovely weekend everyone xx

  • Ooh how exciting I love my corner sofa x
  • Evening Diary,

Well today has been spendy... we bought the sofa :j!! Ended up being more than we expected (isn't everything!) as we took out the cover for the upholstery with it being a light colour and having youngish kids. Weve been through it line by line to make sure theres no clauses too! I think its wise really. Picked up DD's bike which was £98 then £35 on petrol to top it back up.

Im actually quite annoyed with DH as he's always messing with my menus and then me having to buy extra bits. He sulked tonight as it was freezer surprise but I stuck to my guns and told him no, he wanted pizza!! Then he invited MIL and BIL for tea tomorrow and now I need more eggs . Ive told him he needs to stop doing this, if he wants something special for Saturday tea then he says so before I go shopping on Weds.

Weve done some baking tonight so that should last a few days for snacks/lunchboxes. Felt quite good too!!!
Thats about all from me. Tomorrow morning will be spent ironing and getting the house back to spotless before work again on Monday... never ending!! xx

  • Being nosy, are you paying for the sofa outright or doing interest free? We will be buying a new one this year when we have done the lounge. Our current two settees were a total bargain 6 years ago and owe us nothing..

My DH does the same with our menus, he'll use this and that and I'm like nooooo that was for another day!

    Have a nice Sunday!

    Evening Diary... Monday... done!!

Feeling nice and organised tonight, I've had my shower, kids ready for bed and done their reading. Ive given them til 7 to watch their programmes.. currently MTV something to do with 1D and then I'm switching adult tv on.

DF1D, we are getting the sofas on 0% for 3 years, you don't pay for a year by which point holiday will be paid and then paying £42 a month. Might aswell as we don't have that money knocking about and with it being 0%. The current sofa we have is also from DFS and we will have had it nearly 9 years so can't complain really.

Hi Choo, happy new year to you too!!!

So yesterday we had MIL over which was nice, the beef (from the freezer) was delicious. She hadn't really eaten much all week as she hadn't been well and her dog had to be put to sleep Monday so I think a good meal will have done her good.

We were just talking about sky and then as if they were listening in they rang!!! They offered me an offer but DH said to hold out and to ring back tomorrow when we had thought about it but now I'm wishing I accepted. It was land line and TV (BB is free) for £22 making the TV just £6!! Silly DH I should have ignored him ha! They haven't rung back yet so lets see. People on the haggle thread have reported £100 credits to accounts so I'm wondering if I should just be cheeky and ask ha!! The guy on the phone did ask what would make me stay... I said for free ha!!

Today is NSD3 :T, about flipping time! Tomorrow will be a spend day at the farmshop hoping for not more than £20. Wednesday I need to collect my shopping from Mr A's which currently stands at £43. Ive been sticking to my individual budgets for areas on spends and it seems to be working. Thursday is DDs birthday and we've promised her a pizza takeaway. Friday WILL be a NSD!

Thats about all from me. Just going to do a few surveys on onepoll, hopefully il qualify! xx

    Evening Diary,

Just cooking tea so having a quick catch up on here!Hunters chicken tonight by the way :D.

DF1d, thats so funny, I'm glad it was worth 30p!!! Im now up to £2.10.

So been to work today, took own lunch which was scraped together with leftover pasta from the fridge. Colleague (who annoys me sometimes) was very nice and brought me some leftovers that she had cooked so I've saved that for tomorrows lunch.

Went to the farmshop after work and spent £29 on chicken, chicken breasts, sausages, bacon, milk, potatoes, pasties and lemon juice! Not bad really considering all I got. Bought sausages and bacon for the freezer for Sunday mornings brunch before swimming. That will give DH something less to moan about :rotfl:.

Its really chilly here today, its been forecast snow most of the day but it hasn't been too bad. Really hoping it doesnt snow badly overnight or else that will mean car sharing with DH which I do not want to do as I need my car to collect my shopping and DD2s balloon tomorrow whilst they're at gymnastics.

Nothing more to report, hope all ok xx
