Thanks ladies, part of me thinks we should just cut the TV completely regardless of any offers they come up with as in a years time we would have to go through the same again. Will see what happens x

  • Well done mtg, I'm sure the kids will adjust to the changes just fine. It's amazing what my kids have done instead of watching repeats of Adventure Time and Regular show!

Thanks ladies, its just one of those things where you just need to do it to realise its ok not to have! I could never have cancelled it when we first started on our road to getting out of debt as I felt it was our only luxury. I don't feel so hard done by these days!! Going to set up a DD of the difference up to pay off DH's bcard. He used this card to buy me quite an expensive birthday present hence why my total has increased slightly so would make sense since we won't be used to having that money anyway.

So today we've not done a right lot of anything, me and DD1 are showered and in clean pjs and DH and DD2 are currently out walking the dog then going to cook tea which is pizzas and tear and share garlic bread.
Weve watched ET this afternoon, thought we had best start watching things in our planner, kids enjoyed it.

Today is NSD1 :T. Tomorrow will be a small spend day as we need potatoes and can't get out of this as its roast chicken tomorrow!! Also going to defrost some chicken breast and make a chicken curry for Monday's tea. Well will get it all ready and put it in the slow cooker Monday morning before work.

Our plumber is coming tomorrow to fit some new taps in the kitchen.. totally needed and overdue!!

Are any of my friends on Facebook, if so you might know what I mean! Ive recently joined a few groups and peoples attitudes are horrendous so I've ended up leaving. Everyone seems out for an argument. The main things thats annoyed me though is I've been in this particular group for quite a few years and have got to know these people quite well. Im feeling recently that my opinion just is not valued at all so I've started unfollowing this particular group. I really need to limit my time on my phone but without thinking I just pick up my phone. Like I'm on the laptop now with a fbk tab open. I can guarantee il shut this down and pick my phone straight up. I really need to get a grip writing that down makes me look pathetic!! Does anyone else know what I mean?!
I don't want to deactivate as theres people on there I hardly see etc, I just need to limit my usage.

Sorry for the rant just feeling annoyed not only with myself but other people aswell  xx

  • I know what you mean about fb, I really only use it now to share photos with my family that live in other parts of the UK and I find myself hiding posts that people have put up which is a share of a share of a share iyswim!!!

Your day sounds nice and relaxing, enjoy your pizza tonight - I love pizza x

Good news r.e. the taps being done, another job to tick off the list.

    Afternoon Diary,

First day back at work... done! It wasnt too bad actually.

So yesterday took the girls to their swimming lessons and had to pop into Mr T on the way back for a few essentials! Only spent £6 so not too much of a spend. We had roast chicken and trimmings for tea which was delish. Even dug some blackberries out of the freezer and made a crumble.

Today I've had another SSD as I needed mince and sausages from the butchers and won't have time to go tomorrow. £6 spent again so again not too bad.
Put a chicken curry in the slow cooker this morning at 8am and gave DH strict instructions to turn it to warm at 2 when he got in. He had one job other than picking the kids up from school, did he do it... no?!
Got home at 4pm, curry bubbling away . The meat was a bit drier than id have liked so was actually really really nice and tasty and DH has some for tomorrow.

DD1 has just been invited out to tea at her friends tomorrow so DD2 is kicking up a right stink that she isn't invited blah blah! Ive ended up texting one of her friends mums to see if he can come for tea and she's actually given me headache with the carrying on. Fingers crossed he can ha!!

Tomorrow need to collect the shopping from Mr A's. Its also payday .

Hope everyones ok and first Monday back hasn't been too traumatic xx

  • Hi Mummy, glad the first day back at work went ok, I'm back in tomorrow, feel as though I could do with another week off though without the kids, just don't feel as though I have got on top if things this holiday.

    Take care.x.
  • I know what you mean re facebook, I seriously need to limit my screen time this year.. I can waste hours in it literally..

Good job re taps! We need to replace one of ours in the bathroom that has gone rusty, but we never use it..

    Evening Diary,

If I'm honest I reaaalllyyy couldn't be bothered updating on here but I really need to pop in daily if possible so I'm here to keep me on track.

DF1D, im glad you know what I mean re fbk. I was really good Sunday and literally left my phone upstairs most of the day. Ive slipped back into old ways tonight tho :o.

So today is payday :j. Went to Mr A's straight after work and collected my shopping. £62, so not too bad to say we needed washing powder, toilet roll etc.
Then picked DD and her friend up, my god they've tired me out ha!! I do not know where they get their energy from!!

Wednesday tomorrow yay. Don't need to keep trekking between gymnastics and school tomorrow as my friend will collect DD1 as she's there anyway. Might pop to Halfords and order DD2s bike... ekkkk can't believe my baby is 6 next week .

    Hope everyones ok anyway xx
