  • Evening everyone! Lovely shiny new thread! :T

Night night Jo, sleep tight - thanks for sharing about your ducks, my OH has promised me ducks (because I adore them so) when we finally have a house with a garden big enough. Or maybe that farm I promise myself! OH did quietly remind me that he does in fact already have a farm, lol, but since it's in Canada, I'm in mixed minds about that being where our future lies.....

I 'think' I've decided on the line I want to take for selling my crochet goodies, I've been hooking like mad tonight so get a couple of things together and see how they turn out. Perhaps in a couple of days I could share pics with you lovely dribblers and gauge your attitude from there?

Hugs to all in need, there are a few of you tonight, please take good care of yourselves.

Don't know if you're around 2cats, but I just had the chance to pop on to the FB group and read through all the bits, just wanted to say that I do hope your kitty is ok. Sorry if you mentioned it in the thread and I missed it.

Thanks for all the warmth and hugs last night re my 'little sis'. We were supposed to chat tonight but I think we've missed each other. She's a strong one, she'll be ok, and she's got the support of her OH, family and friends to see her through till the sun shines again.

Place is like a tip, I don't know what's going on just now, I just can't seem to get on top of it and stay there. Kids are at their Dad's tomorrow night, so I think I'll blast through the house, I can't settle to sitting here with this mess around me!

  • Oooo, just checked eBay, I have 9 watchers on one of my vintage coats and 2 on the other, so fingers crossed!

Incidentally, those smelly socks that were last posted from eBay have ended - on £57.59  There's another seller with knee high socks, currently sitting at £64 with nearly 2 days left on the listing! Can you tell I've been checking? :rotfl:

Seriously giving this line of product due consideration, but must remember and explain to DS so that when he checks the boots he's watching on eBay and sees these in my watched list...... :rotfl:

  • OH has taken his friend to the chippie, to give me five minutes peace....got a room full of crafting stuff, and have 8 articles left...I'm terribly slow tonight, but I can't see tomorrow being any better, to be honest.
Nixi, I hope you are feeling a lot happier soon, and 2Cats, I hope your kitty is okay too, I can't see anything about it on facebook but I've got my fingers crossed.

So much to do, so little time!

Ou.......new shiney thread!! I am still kind of lurking about on this thread but don't get chance to post much. Am plodding along with Ebay and money is coming in in dribs and drabs. Having hassle with a non paying buyer at the moment.....but reported to ebay so will be sorted.

Lol re: the socks - OMG!! It is soooo tempting, but the only thing that would freak me out is that folk can get access to your address as well as phonenumber when you sell them an item. Has Ambersunshine sorted her web page out yet - destined to make a fortune :T :rotfl:

Just wanted to say well done on the job munchki!

Also, Saucy - would you mind PM'ing me your web details. I am a stationary lover and so like the sound of your notebooks!!

Anyhow - off for some much needed beauty sleep so NN xxx

Hmmm, I didn't actually realise that - is this standard?? Might have to rethink!!

Just to let everyone know, Munchki is still stuck in Nottingham, but she's managed to get a friend to put her up for the night - car will be fixed tomorrow and I'm sure she'll be back online dribbling with us soon.

I think I'm going to head off for an early night, feeling rather drained today.

    Night night sleep tight everyone.

As far as I understand it is the case. Anyone you sell an item to can request your address details via Ebay. It happened to me once, when I sold an item someone wanted to collect that evening but I was away for the weekend at the time so could not respond for 48 hours. It was a perfume gift set and the Buyer flapped and requested my home address, which Ebay duely gave them (they had paid at this point).

There is also reference to this on the Ebay board as there is a long standing "old sock and shoe" thread kicking about that has been going for a while. A few have warned about it over there too. People can also access your phone number, so the general advice is to change to a mobile number as soon as you verify your account.

I certainly don't want to be alarmist in any way as a few people report they have made a fair few hundred quid doing it and have not had many issues (apart from requests for foot pics lol!). Apparently "air hostess" shoes / socks etc make a fortune!!!

Anyhow - off to bed for me too!

That's why I'm going to be offering the chance to sell through my site, so that no addresses are given out - except that of the shoe-buying perve of course! Only problem is I can only receive a certain amount of messages through the site, so I'm trying to think of a way round that, as I don't want to publish my email address either.

Saucy - I got an email about the writing, so TYVM!
  • Yay :)
I'm glad I could help. In so much pain, tried to sleep but couldn't...OH's friend has only just gone, too. He tries to involve me, bless him, but I just look utterly miserable. Because I feel it, lol.

Got a few more tasks I'll do before I go to bed now, it drives me nuts just lying there...
