  • Did manage another NSD yesterday, but today will be a spend day as I am off to my friends wedding! I also need to put some more petrol in the car as I have done so much running about that I have used far more petrol than I usually do!

General housework stuff to do this morning, need to get back on track as washing is piling up again!

I need to crack on with October's budget and meal plan if I have time this weekend as September is zooming past so quickly.

    Off for another cuppa.....

  • Have listed 14 items on ebay this morning:) Hope they sell. Aiming to make enough money to buy DS2&3 a new bunkbed!

    Enjoy your weekend xxx

  • Morning all.

Up at stupid o'clock again this morning! Just checked my ebay listings and I have now over 120 watchers on 51 items, 6 of which are selling for a total of £10.51 so far:) Not much but still 5 days to go.

Brummiebabe - That is fantastic! I hope you got a nice tidy sum for your efforts?

The bunk bed I want to get the boys is £217 including delivery, so I told DS2 that if I listed 217 items and they all sold at £1 we would have enough money, but if one sold at £2 we would only need to list 216 items, he has been helping me find stuff to list and assisting with the photo's, he has even contributed 3 of his old DS games towards his new bunk bed (he is keen isn't he!):) Well as bidding is up to £10 I only need to list 207 items and have listed 51 so far....so 156 items to find:D

I have a bag of clothing sitting in my hallway ready to list later today when the kids are off to school and I can concentrate. There are about 10 things in there. I am walking round the house with my 'ebay eye' checking for suitable things:D

I will probably list a load of books on amazon too when I have finished ebaying. Loads I could get rid of. I would love to make their bunk bed money neutral!!

Banking all done, spreadsheets updated and adjusted.

NSD yesterday which takes me up to 9/12 now:) Just 3 more to go, hoping this is still achievable.

Hope to avoid shops today making it 10 NSD's but will have to venture out at some point this week as food to buy, aiming to go as far into the week as possible and then buy enough food to last the rest of the month.

Will spend most of today ebaying, housework and throw a nap in for good measure too:D

DS1 starts college this morning. He quit his paper round yesterday as he asked to change his round to a smaller one and they couldn't accommodate, which would mean he needed to get up at 5am every morning, which is just too early and he would have still had to run to catch his bus. Wise decision I thought. He can concentrate on his education for the next two years instead and be happy that he now has £600 in the bank!

Off to have another cuppa and plan what else I can ebay:D

Love the money neutral bunk beds theme - and that you are de-cluttering at the same time makes it even better.

Your boys sound delightful - contributing to the ebay challenge and having the maturity to balance work and college - Great stuff.
  • Hectic day today. NSD didn't go as planned as DS2 presented me with a list of ingredients for food tech....tomorrow! So off to tesco I went. Added a few bits to the basket, medicines, pet food, milk, bread etc. Will dig out receipt and update tomorrow when I am less shattered. Managed to list 4 more things on ebay, do a load of paperwork (filing/bin/phone calls/updating calendar etc, which took ages, had a nap and some lunch. DD had a party this afternoon straight after school then to cubs for DS3.

DS1 had a fab day at college and really enjoyed it. Made a very tiny brick wall :D and did some painting. Need to give him some more money for bus tomorrow but I can claim it all back if I keep the tickets while they are sorting his free bus pass.

Bought two xmas presents at Tesco, saw them and had to get them as they were on the list for DS3 and DD and they were a tenner off each. Two Vtech digital cameras! Have put them away in the xmas present drawer and knocked £80 off my remaining budget for xmas presents. They will be so pleased with them!

Off to bed in a mo as I can barely keep my eyes open! Hoping to sleep in later than 4.15 tomorrow:D

  • Morning:)

Woke up at 2.30 but forced myself to go back to sleep:)

Have done banking and spreadsheets. All looking ok for this month.

Checked ebay and 18 items now have bids totalling £26:) Doing very well so far! 37 items yet to have bids so 154 items left to list to get to our target of £217:D I love challenges, they tend to motivate me so much.

I am pretty happy with how the stuff is selling so far, 4 days left and loads of watchers, only a handful have none.

Am going to try to have another day at home today as it didnt quite pan out as planned yesterday and I only got 4 items listed on ebay. Aiming for 10 today and also to find some stuff to freecycle/recycle etc towards my 100 for september declutter challenge.

Hoping for a nice day weather wise so I can catch up on the washing.

    Have a good day everyone...

  • Inching closer to those bunk beds! 25 items have now sold so far at £35.00 37 items with no bids on yet, leaves 145 to list! I have already listed today 7 more things so only 3 left to find.

Has to collect DS2 from school as he has a sore throat, took him to the doctors and she prescribes rest and fluids (suprise) as it is a viral infection like DS3 had last week.

Off to find some more to ebay/recycle!
